Your home page only ranks as 1/10. Try sending a write up and links to to christan based webs. Don't laugh yet. I own a shipping store and ship for a guy who works out of his house. At first his site was on yahoo and it was painfully slow, I fixed alot of problems but still no customers. He then took the advice above and next thing you known his site is running on full tilt. It seems his selection like yours fits the bill for christan toys. They spread the word and links for him. Last year he grossed 1/2 million.

    Hello rh72nova!
Did you notice that your site is shown a bit differently in FF and IE? There are some GUI issues there.

I like that you've kept it nice and simple, and i really like the header. I think the background for your images doesn't really suit the rest of the sites colour scheme though. Try a free online colour scheme studio to see what background colour on the pics might work well with the rustic and white for the rest of your site. Try these babies. Colour schemer Studio is my favourite but it's only free for a trial period. The site itself has some good schemes others have come up with though.

Hello Roger. I like that your site is simple, clean, and easy to navigate. There are good text links which are great for search engines, though when I looked at your code I didn't see any "h1, h2, or h3" tags which search engines also like. Obviously getting a higher ranking on search engines are favorable (as I'm sure you know).

Some things I noted you need to fix on your site:
    1. On the "About Us" page everything is centered. You should left justify it all.

    2. The primary navigational links (the horizontal ones) all lead to the same page (except Contact Us and About Us)? This is a bit confusing. Maybe you're working on those pages?

    3. On your home page you show the "Sky King Trycycle" listed at a discounted price of $259 but when I added it to a cart it showed my checkout as $284? Obviously this would confuse people.

    4. When clicking on the left menu links, such as "Pedal Car," the font below the picture is too small. It's hard to read, or at least on my computer.

    5. I saw that Linx mentioned your site shows a little different in FireFox and Internet Explorer. I used both browsers but I didn't see much difference? Not sure if you fixed that or not.

Some suggestions for making more sales:

Well this question can best be answered with a bit more info (which I don't need to know). How much is in your budget, for example?

    - If you have some money, perhaps invest in Google's AdSense.

    - You should display FREE in a much more predominate way on your site. Maybe make a nice big picture of a sticker showing "FREE SHIPPING on most items" or something. People like free.

    - Consider changing your web address to pedalcars.com or something so that your keyword search will be in your web address (I'm sure that one's taken). I designed my brother's landscape website www.modernlandscapelasvegas.com with this in mind. Of course no one remembers the web address, but it comes up first on Google and Yahoo search for Las Vegas landscape company because of keyword relevance.

    - I think the big wording "Order Online 24/7 365 . . ." is useless and should be removed on your site. Most people who order online pretty much expect this to be so. That line of view from your site's visitor would be better displaying something that will close the deal, like FREE. Maybe make the 10% deal bigger there and in its place. I wrote a good article on how people scan and read webpages. If you're interested, you can read it by clicking here.

    - Get the word out by helping people in your niche. Comment on blogs, participate in forums, and network with companies similar (but not exactly like) yours. I also wrote an article on using Social Media to market your business. I'm sorry, I know I'm "promoting" myself but I think you might find these articles useful.

    - Just thinking outside the box for a moment . . . maybe create a blog where subscribers can participate in a monthly contest or something? They could win, say, $100. Now maybe they don't need a pedal car, but maybe they know someone who does. Or offer a bribe! If they buy from you, give them something for free . . . like a free mini gas pump or something.

    - Who are your clients? Like ishkey was implying, focus on a particular crowd. Don't sell to everyone. You SHOULD be excluding people. Focus on Christian schools, or handicapped kids (hey, give one away for promotion!!!). Are you getting involved in your community?

    - I hope you don't take this badly, I'm just being blunt as a fellow entrepreneur. Although your site is very clean and easy to navigate, it's boring. There's nothing "special" about it. How can you make your product and/or website "Remarkable?" Don't get me wrong, your site is very good, but very good is boring and is what everyone expects (and forgets). Maybe characterize your business. Can Saturday Night Live create a skit about your company or site? (just thinking out loud).

    - If you have big marketing dollars . . . sponsor a little league baseball team or something.

    - Focus who you're advertising to. Don't advertise to everyone. Market to people who will talk about your product. I don't mean everyday mom and dads, I mean market to people who have influence over others. Again, like ishkey said, pastors are great because they have influence over a wide range of people. Those are the people you need to be marketing to (people with influence).

    - This one is important. As a real estate investor I sell houses for sale by owner faster than selling with a Realtor. This I think is in part because most Realtors don't know how to really market, just list. Most people with little marketing experience understand the true value of selling benefits over features. People don't buy features (chrome exterior, cushioned seat, 3 wheels, etc.) they buy benefits (the chrome exterior will make you popular, your butt will never be soar again - 4 padded cushioned seat, etc.)
........ sell the sizzle, not the steak.

Anyway, good luck and I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Looks a lot better Roger. But you should consider removing the red highlight over the text on the On Sale page. It's hard to read. Maybe to make it stand out put it in a table with a light grey background or something. Other than that, looking a lot better!

I like the way your site looks but I have some suggestions for you.
I think you could place Shopping cart section to the right side of your site.

I prefer it would be easier for your shop customers to find the goods they need. For example after clicking on Pedal Car button in right section I’m forwarded to the Pedal Car page where I find explanation about pedal cars represented in your online shop, though, I don’t see what I can buy. And only after clicking on the image, I can go exactly to the Pedal Cars page where I can choose a pedal car I like.
Don’t you think it would be more comfortable for a shop visitor to go exactly to Pedal Cars page with cars images and prices?
Of course I could also get to Pedal Cars page having selected an appropriate category in your category list. Nevertheless I have to make several steps: click Please select button and then choose the category I want. I prefer to reach the goods I am looking for in one step way :)

    Good luck!

    My two... Three cents =D

Well, Im still learning web design but I have a few ideas.

-Your site is a little boring, no offence. The first thing people will always notice about your site is the colors, graphics and layout. So try shifting things around, adding some more graphics and please change the background color to an image, or a different color. White just seems plain.

-On your products, some "real" pictures would be nice. The pictures you have dont seem to suggest how big the cars are. I know you have the dimmensions at the bottom, but for some people, it might be a lil hard to visualize 39 inches in length. So if you have all the products at your house, set them all up in your driveway or backyard one by one and take alot of pictures of them. Then post a "view more pictures" link on the products. Maybe have your son/daughter/family member ride around in one, and take picture of them having good old fashioned fun :D .

-And just like eVenturebiz said, go on forums just like these. If its on a topic like web design, lend out your knowledge. Also on every forum you go to, you should change your signature to link to your site. If you look at mine, "This is what happens when I understand things". Not a link to my site, but to a simple picture (How many of you actually clicked it? Just wondering ;)).

Hope I gave you some ideas

I have a mini site, but is making no revenue

I made this site, I thought it could be used to make some money, but so far has not done any justice for the time spent on it.
What do you think of it, and are there any tips and advice for improvements?

It shows a few good ways to make money using the internet.
    Thanks.
