I think it's very well done. Obviously, it's a site focused on money, making money, money money money! Looks like a lot of work went into it.

Nicely done, especially when just learning. I'm sure it took a lot of work. I also agree there are a lot of advertisements, but I know they pay good. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. There is no listed "Home" page. Most Internet users are use to being able to click on a "Home" link or something to go back to your landing page. Your landing page appears to be the "About Us" page which is a bit odd. I would put that content in the About Us section and begin my landing page with your heading "Become Financially Independent." The first line under this title (at the top of your page) should be the first line you currently have . . . the aim of this site.

    2. The list of questions you ask under the "Become Financially Independent" section should be just that, a bulleted list. People scan websites, not read them. Give them what they want. Make it easy for them to scan your bulleted list - just don't make it too long unless you're teaching them something.

    3. You might want to consider rewording the following:
Want to make the most of your Money?
    Become Financially Independent?
    Escape the Rat Race?
All you need is a little Financial IQ!

Instead of asking them questions, tell them what they should do or how they should think. In other words, maybe word it something like this:

Make the most of your Money!
    Become Financially Independent.
Escape the Rat Race; all you need
    is a little Financial IQ!

About Making Your Site More Visible To Search Engines:

    4. A site map can help search engines crawl your website better. Here is a website that will crawl your website for you and generate a google sitemap for your site http://www.auditmypc.com/free-sitemap-generator.asp

    5. I don't see too many headings in your articles (i.e. <h1,2,3> tags). Consider adding a few as search engines consider text in those titles important.

    6. Add some links in your text. It would be nice if those links contained text that are the same as your keywords (just don't overdo it). Search engines look at links as a higher priority than text.

    Good luck,

I know its a site for making money.. IMO, you can also earn money if you have lots of readers or your site has lots of traffic.. A site don't need to have that lots of ads if it has lots of readers...

    well, that's only my opinion...

    good work :)

The text in the 'Favorite Sites' block is hardly distinguishable, as well as the sky blue color on the gray background.
And try to avoid negative and interrogative sentences, because they are difficult to understand.

Hey Abi. I assume you are using Internet Explorer, or at least some other browser other than Firefox. In Firefox, those boxes don't look right. Head over to www.mozilla.com and download Firefox. A lot of people use this browser (including me and probably Linx). I personally check my site design with both IE and Firefox to make sure they display it properly.

Oh and Linx . . . cool avatar!!!

You're right eVentureBiz, I'm using FF. I checked abidan's site design in IE7, it looks fine, but in FF there are GUI issues.

    Thanks :)

It seems you hide such blocks like: Popular Articles, New/Updated Posts and Favorite Sites :) I think it’ll be better to make them more visible to your site visitor’s.

It also seems you use too much white color. Don’t be afraid to make your web site brighter and eye-catching!

Think of making your font bigger, I believe it also could draw more attention to your web site and the useful information you’d like to share with the others.

You can also offer a site map to your readers.

I think you’ve chosen a splendid site name, a strong introduction paragraph and a descriptive title tag.

I also liked that you use text and not images for important content because Googlebot can't read images :)

Wish you success in your business!

I think emilypal made some good points I haven't thought of.

    Sitemap:
Your site has lots of information on it and it might be nice to provide your readers with a simple to read sitemap for easy navigation. Google and other search engines of course like the sitemaps that aren't human friendly. They like just a simple xml list.
Here's a really cool free automatic sitemap generator:
    http://www.auditmypc.com/free-sitemap-generator.asp

It creates both xml (for seach engines) and html (for humans) sitemaps. Be sure to watch their instruction video first. I don't think the html sitemap is very good and as a result you probably don't want to use it. But it would definitely be good to generate the xml file, upload it to your server, and then tell Google, Yahoo, and MSN about it. You don't have to have a link on your site that points to it, just tell the search engines where it is.

Can anyone suggest a good automatic html sitemap generator? ****I suppose as a workaround to the automatic generation of the html using this software you could simply use it to create the link list and then YOU edit the html file adding headers and so on to make it more readable for users.

    Font:
Maybe the font is a little small. What do others think?

    Menu Links:
I think it would be good if your links in the main menu on the left automatically dropped down when the mouse pointer hovered over it and didn't require a click.

Of course these are just suggestions. Your site is well done as is. I don't mind the white space. I think empty space/white space is good on websites.

    Hi, Abi!
I just wanted to say that your text is really good and the style of the articles is rather free-flowing, I don't mean that some sentences sound rubbish. No, but I noticed you use too much question sentences and negative sentences. And these sentences (+ passive voice) , as we know, are more difficult to grasp them. And it's better to avoid them or replace them with statements (as possible of course)
    You did a great job!!!

You may want to check your title for popular keywords
    in a keyword suggestion tool.

You may want to add a description meta tag - they are used
    by search engines.

You may want to check your page in a web page analyzer
(checks your page and your meta tags - displays how many
times your keywords are used in the title, description
and body and gives suggestions on how to improve your
    page rank.

    hope this helps
