Our youth football team have a club badge which is in need of updating. We would really appreciate some help in getting something a bit sharper and more modern. Our club colours are royal blue and white so the images on the badge don't need to be in red and we would prefer a shield rather than a round badge. Critically, we need a colour version and a pure black and white verison (for trophy engraving).

    1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
    Jarvis Brook Juniors FC
    2) What is your website address (www.jbjfc.org.uk)
The logo will be used for the website, shirt badges and trophy engraving.

    3) Description of your website or business:Junior football club.

    4) Search the Internet for any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
We are keen to keep the same design elements but on a shield rather than a round badge and with crisper and more modern presentation.
    5) Requested size of your logo:
Logo will be for shirt printing, web and trophy engraving.

    6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
The exisitng club badge in on the website
    7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
    n/a
    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Club colours are royal blue and white, other colours on the logo would be ok
    9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
    n/a
    10) Describe the target audience for your logo
    Kids aged 5-18
    11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
football, the club name and the iconic chimney and brook
    12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?Web, shirt badges and trophy engraving (black and white version needed for the engraving)
    13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
    n/a
    14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.no preference - something crisp and modern.

Thanks Ishkey, that was v quick! Would it be possible to change the blue for a slightly lighter shade, make the chimneys and buildings red again (sorry), make the zig zag 'brook' look more like a river with smoother curves (like the current badge), make the shield more of a basic plain shield shape (slightly wider) without the darker shadow, change the font for red and something slightly crisper and modern and lastly, produce a purely black and white version? Sorry, that sounds really bad of me I know!! Thanks Paul MAc

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_blue two shades of royal blue I used the (traditional) do you want the other one?
"make the shield more of a basic plain shield shape (slightly wider) without the darker shadow" do you like the style that is showing?
"change the font for red and something slightly crisper and modern and lastly" I have over 2000 fonts on my pc - look at http://www.dafont.com/ to find the one you want.

    Hi Paul

Just re-read your post, and just to make you aware that for engraving a B/W is not needed, just a AI (Vector) file which I am sure Ishkey would provide if you ask nicely ;)

OK. I like the Sansation font on the website you showed me!, I'm uploading a shield shape that I like which I tried to use on the umbro 'create your own' site. Thats the basic shape and yes, the other blue is good. I think the ball looks good in black too. Could I be a pain and ask if you could try that too. You guys are awesome! I will try no to make too many more changes!!!

Here are the changes, made the ball blue as it did not look good in black.

Great! Can I request a coupke of minor changes/ Is it possible to put a thin black edge around the border of the shield (that might make a black ball look better?) and make the text font slightly smaller and change the font colour to white? Thanks Paul
