CSS UL style problem with IE

    hi

    i have create this site, /freehostingnoads.net"Free Hosting No Ads[/URL] and at firefox 3.6 all are fine but in IE 8 the list move some space on the right

    try to give

    list-style-position: outside to li instead of ul

    here in this class " .top3 ul li "

    give ur ul margin:0

    i think it will solve ur problem.

    ace2011 unless you have some ties to FWT and or Mimoun (which it doesn't look like from you your Hello post) and your signature in your profile page looks and sounds as if you are trying to promote your re-seller site. You have no templates - you just link back to FWT - you ask on your site for people to post up their work.
    You asked for a review, without even bothering to Read where it states
    Post your website here to get other members to review your site. Please give a review for someone else before you ask for one.
    and it's reviewed by clydefrog, who we are questioning about his request.
    Here you say in a vague way for a developer.

    Not when I view it.

    Are you trying to build a site without doing the work? as that is exactly what it looks like.
    A detailed explanation would be nice.

    as i say in my hello msg i develop/design websites for my self and my latest is about free hosting

    ties with freewebsitetemplates.com, i know this site and i use it for get ideas, i dont understood what do you mean ties

    in my sig does not allowed to have links to sites other than templates ??

    yes i have a directory about free hosts, free webmaster tools, free templates etc and i have add there a listing about FWT, do you want to remove it ?

    When and IF my sig start to show in my posts will be a problem to promote my sites ?

    That's what everyone posts up after they are questioned.
    They always get half of it right, the part of posting a review for their site.
    It is a easy thing to read before you post and follow the rules.
    Posting in this forum is picked up right away by the search engines.


    Your signature is somewhat miss leading, but good for the search engines.
    By the way it will show up in your posts after "x" amount of posts.
    We are not the only Forum setup this way.

    This Post - UL style problem with IE
    This nothing new for Internet Explorer - it has been around since day one,
    any search engine would have given you the answer.

    You posted links to graphics and those graphics just shout your site.
    Where you could have posted the problem like this, much easier to see the problem.

    You seem to have an advance knowledge of coding as I looked at your sites.
    (code from freehostingnoads net and T15 org)
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7"> which is used for Document Compatibility
    Your use of javascript and google_ad_client.

    So I find it hard to believe you have a "UL style problem with IE"
    particularly a problem that really doesn't really matter when viewed on any browser.

    I am sure the other Mods will agree with me, as I am sure that you can see our point of view.

    If your intentions are malice to increase your web exposure - well that is something not tolerated here.
    If you possibly started off on the wrong foot - then it can be corrected and you will find a family of friends here.

    yes i want to promote my sites(is that a bad thing?) but i do not try to spam the forum

    and i register to this forum for share my hosting designs (after i change them a little and remove my logos and text)
    that way i plan to promote my sites, is that wrong ?

    plus no other forum(from the ones that i use , forums with very strict rules) have this rule about reviews so i cant imagine that i will have to review other sites before i have the right to request a review for my site

    if for you this is "miss leading" then i will change it

    come on , do you really believe that i post screen shots with my site header for promote my site ?

    and more silly as in my other site (t15) the list have no problem with IE


    i dont say that im a perfect new member and i understood that you want to protect the forum quality but i think that judge me very hard

    ace2011, after what seems to be a marathon of a post, it is clear too me (and that is my opinion) your missing to point Ishkey is getting at, so to be brief;

    You want help without giving back? This site does not work that way

    Your request; strange to a degree, I can't see why you think it matters if the info is correct in which ever browser you use (the viewee would not know anything is wrong) but hey were are all allowed to be vein

    Promoting your website? now if it links back here (FWT) / other similar sites, that's confusing to me as they are already here to see the link. Mimoun would regardless have final say, But Ishkey normally has a 6th sense on these things.

    My last and most important point (and please forgive me if I'm wrong, it's been a very very long day) you seem to have a lack of regards towards the rules on this forum of which has been pointed out

    where do i say that i want help with out giving back ?????
    its my first day on the forum and ishkey try hard to proof that im the "bad apple" of the forum

    i will know that something wrong even if a viewee not
    and the fix of the problem will not make my site better or make my visitors more happy, it was for me

    if my mistake was that i ask help or ask a review with out have the right to do so i ask sorry, i cant do anything more
    if you want accept it if not no problem

    Right, I can see you are going too argue til the cows come home, it would be nice if you EARN your stripes and as I said to you on another post, I'm sure your input would bode well around the forum.

    So how about we put this to bed start again and see where this goes?

    Ace2011 have you tried the w3c validator, that may clear a few things up for you.

    PS. Try not to annoy members on here, they help for nothing, it's nice to show some repsect and return the favour where possible.
