Legacy Telecom website needs help with logo...

Hello Everyone!

I am new to this site, as well as new to photoshop and web design...

1) www.aloha-communications.com
2) Telecommunications website (ie. Voice, Data, Data Center services)
3) I like my logo, but I dont know how to change the color... see website. But I am open to other designs as well.
4) Not sure, so it fits nicely on my webpage and another size for adverts, biz cards, etc.. keep in mind eventually site will change this was my first one done on Microsoft Publisher.
5) No. But I am open to anything.. I was thinking something Hawaiian hence the name (plus Im hawaiian!), but also incorporating WWW.. perhaps a globe, Cat5 cable, Stuff that is IT related... stuff like that.
6) I know my colors suck! I couldn figure out how to change them... I was thinking blues, greys, whites... something web safe but bold enough to stand out.

I didnt create the font... I found the pic and then added communications to it... i started trying to use the pen tool but couldnt figure out how or what it does. I tried some different tutorials but that lead me no where.

if some one can do something similar that works.
