Not feeling very artsy and struggling to come up with a logo for our co-ed softball shirts. Been browsing sites and saw this. Awesome site and love the work I have seen. You all are very talented indeed!!

Our sponsor this year is limastuff.com. As you will see from their website, they have a text logo that is in different colors. Pretty plain overall so we are trying to figure out how to make it softball-ish and jump out at people! The logo font is something like Dipped Thick (Free Diped Thick Font Download at FontRiver.com)

Shirt wise, we can either do just a plain color grey T with the logo on the front and silk screen - or we can do a dye sub with full color.

    1) What is your website address: limastuff.com

    2) Description of your website: auction site

    3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why: ?? I like the dye sub stuff here Sports55.com Pants

    4) Requested size of your logo: Printed on shirts

    5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? No

    6) Any colors you prefer? ??

Thank you to anyone that wants to take a shot at this :)

"Not feeling very artsy and struggling to come up with a logo for our co-ed softball shirts."
How artsy are you with Graphics programs?
Just maybe you can give those Clans people a hand. Talk to them to find out what they want and maybe get some links for show and tell, since they don't know how to type or read sticky posts, to post any real information to work with and we will see what we can come up with for you.

I take it you want your sponsors name on it just like the web site and nothing more in terms of text. Did you know that the font can not be filled in very easy and is going to take some long work time.

You also said "I like the dye sub stuff here Sports55.com Pants"
There is a lot of stuff there to look at for inspiration, traditional and modern an once an artist gets inspired they really hate changing things. Are you going to be content with what we pick out after all there is a bit of work involved to creating graphics or do you want to point us a little further down the road?

I will come up with a couple that I like and try to point down the road a bit further. Appreciate your time and updating :)

    good deal
maybe you could tell us something about this co-ed softball team.
I grew up in Chicago IL USA softball was played barehanded (no mitts) and the ball was rock hard at 16 inches around. Players couldn't wait for the 6 inning when the ball would soften up a wee bit.

Not much to tell. Sunday co-ed league, 6 guys, 6 girls.
Fortunately we get to use gloves and regular softballs :)

I played a "throw-back" game where we used a rubberish ball and no gloves. You could actually let the ball bounce once and catch it for an out... Couldn't imagine barehanding a softball for 6 innings.

Working on something now, will hopefully post here shortly.

I attached the logo already filled in. Hopefully that will make it easier to work with.

    Thanks again!

Actually the ball is leather bound with the same insides just like any other softball or baseball.
Please try to keep the graphics down to no wider than 700 pixels. thanks.
Do you also have it in a png format or a vector format you can zip up and post.

Thanks I'm tinkering with an idea while trying to work on a few customer requests (gotta pay the bills) and those pesky spammers are out in force today, they are starting to get annoying, keeping them off the forum. It seems there are a lot of them who like getting paid 10 cents for each forum they try to place a website name.

What did you think of that softball?
I remember at times in games when someone would hit it so hard that the skin would come off of it.
The idea behind the large ball was two fold for city people.
    1. The ball wouldn't travel to far so it was easier to find a place to play. Cities didn't have much space for sports back then.
    2. No glove keep the cost down for those who didn't have the money.
A ball and a bat was all the equipment you needed, bases were make shift.

    Here is #1
To cover the top part of the chest.
I like silhouettes so I use guy and gals, added some modified grass for a background and of course a ball.

These are awesome!!!! I really like both of them, so not sure which one to go with but leaning towards the first. I will send them around to the team and see what they think!
Do you have them in layers with the green background as a seperate layer?
I found out from an email this morning that our shirt guys prefer layers.

What file format? Resolution? ETC? What is the shirt guy's total requirements? Does he have a website I can look at and read?

Sorry, should have known to put that.
Preferred types are PNG, PSD, EPS
Resolution - 300dpi min up to 600dpi max
    Layered
Size - As you know it is easier to shrink then scale up. 12" wide by whatever proportional should be more than enough I would think.

I don't think they have a website. It is a small local company and I know one of the guys that works there, so I sent him an email.

    Now that's cool looking.
What graphics program are you using, as I made these with Xara Pro 4. (vector program)
I can export them in almost any format.
Not at my main pc right now - out with laptop, so it won't be until latter today maybe early evening before I can zip up the files. Might need your email to send files forum has size restrictions. PM me with it.
