Legacy Rock band with 8,000,000 myspace hits needs new logo. Closes 06th Dec. Prize $50.

Hi,​

We are a London based rock band who have just signed a 3 year deal and require a professional and fresh new image. ​

We already have millions of hits on our myspace so the chosen logo will head for massive exposure over the coming months.​

Visit myspace.com/capefearsite to see the existing image/style. It is a little darker than we would like (in both colour and idea), so we are looking for a fresh new image.​

Have a listen to the tracks to get an idea of the music we play, but think Foo Fighters as a good comparison.​

We require:
- 1 high quality logo (banner not required) in 300dpi or greater.
- Prefer psd files so we can edit and create alternatives from the master.
- Font files (if using non standard fonts).​

Contest will close at 6pm Sunday 6th December (GMT time), and we offer USD50.00 to the winner paid via Paypal.​

Thanks for all the ideas guys, but they have not really grasped what we are looking for. So far we've had options that either portray us as a skater band, or pink floyd.

We're a rock band and are looking for something that by just looking at the logo people would recognise that we are a rock band and nothing else.

If anyone has any new ideas, or you wish to modify your original idea, please feel free to do so and repost here.

Sorry guys. Seems I've provided most of the info you require, however not all of it so here goes again.

2) Description of your website?
London based rock band website

3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why?
The bands Foo Fighters, Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars. All of these bands have fairly simple designed logo's, but the immediate thing when you look at their logos is that they are logo's of big rock bands.

4) Requested size of your logo?
At least 300dpi.

5) Do you have any images/photos/clipart that can be used for the logo? (these must be copyright free)?
I've uploaded our current logo which can be used or altered or not used at all. Up to you!

6) Any colors you prefer?
Not at all, as we can always change colours later from the master.

 

I have quite a few ideas but not a lot of time to get them down right now (exams), do you have a strict deadline for when you need this logo by (I know you list Dec. 6th)?

I'd love to give it another go as I now have a better understanding of the direction you would like to go in (straight not curved lines, and a cleaner approach)...

 

If your London based why is the price in USD?

Thanks for your submissions, however things are not really heading in the direction that we want, and I think this is in part due to the organising this over a forum.

I was put onto this by a friend who's had some success in arranging logo's this way, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be working for us, so we have decided to cancel the contest and arrange our logo privately where we can meet the designer face to face and put more time into it prior to actually seeing any logos.

We appreciate everyone's efforts and thank you for your time.

Well that was an anti-climatic letdown. Nothing like telling us we had a shot at a prize, but then giving it to no one. In the US, that's illegal. I don't know about London, though.
