Legacy Request for club badge

Hi,

This is my second post (first being in introduce yourself thread) and hope I have provided enough information to show what I am requesting. I'm hoping for a new club badge for my local soccer team and would greatly appreciate any designs or helpful suggestions.

1) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?
I have the domain name and site up but starting from a blank canvas. The site address is Chanel SSC

2) Description of your website:
Local soccer club established in 1974. Would like to include the year established in crest

3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:
Please see attached images. I like the USA soccer crest but not sure how putting the team name in would look

I've seen some variations of the Arsenal crest on here (without the canon)

The Metrostars is simple but effective I think

I'm open to ideas just want to keep similar shape and our team colours.
Would love to have the text beside the logo like on the chelsea website (chelsea.gif) except with our club name

4) Requested size of your logo:
High quality as they will likely go on the website and new jerseys.
I have photoshop installed but can't really use it but i at least know how to save the images for web though

5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
Again open to ideas of a soccer ball or silhouette of a football boot like major league soccer logo

6) Any colors you prefer?
Yes our team colours are red and black like ac milan

Thanks for reading my request. As I said I am starting with a blank canvas so open to ideas. I am going to be running joomla for the site so will be trying to customise a template.

1. The name on the crest is to be CHANEL SSC (SSC is for Sports and Social Club)
For the crest on its own so it could be used for website or jerseys etc

2. Yes, i'd like to have the new crest with the text beside it chanelssc.com in the same style as the chelsea one. (with small caps underneath - the official website of chanel ssc)

The website header will be the same background but probably in black.
What do you think the best style for the crest would be? Like the US one?
