Legacy Quality, Luxury, upmarket real estate logo?

Hi,

I am soon to be completely overhauling http://www.coastland-spain.com
it will be dedicated to advertising Luxury, high quality Spanish Real Estate.
The problem is our logo needs to give out the same 'quality feel' and I'm struggling? everything I come up with looks like my 10yr old daughter has done it with "etch a sketch"

I'd really appreciate some help with this, any ideas, designs etc.???

Its great....but not quite what I was looking for, I've done some searching and the attached are the sort of approach I was thinking of.
Neat modern font, white background. I will be using it on stationary, website, etc

This is a more professional look and it took a long time for me to get the 3d glare just right I really hope you like. And also if you want i could put a thin line underneath the coast land Spain part and underneath that right like "Real Estate" or something like that

 

Its large in size so when you need to shrink it for your banners and sites it will be like in ultra quality

 

thanks again, but still not quite there. need less color, more modern font, no italics or script style font. very small subtle icon style logo.

Sorry I'm being so fussy, but once again I appreciate your help.

Hay boemboem, you can take this one over for me? This really isn't my best skill lol. But, if you ever need a band logo, i am there lol.

 

BoemBoem you're nearly there I think, can we make the sun smaller, say just over the 'coast' part and replace "advice ou can trust" with "Luxury Spanish Property" in a more upright modern font, I dont like swirly, script type fonts

Sorry, without palmtree please, shrink the sun and waves and move them over to the left of the main text, just a thought?
I'll be running it on a Joomla template like this one so it will need to be wider rather than taller, hope that makes sense.

I'm sorry to say, but I think you have to change the width and height of your "logo space" rather then the logo. The logo is in balance now. Try to find a sollution for your problem by making the logo fit, not by fitting the logo. (almost sounds like chinese wisdom)

For joomla you need to edit the logo size in the
template_css.css look for a ID called jsn-logo, change the sizes to the size of the logo.
