I'm still a hobbyist but would like to take my photography to the next level and would like to ask for some help designing a photography logo primarily for watermarking photos. I don't have a website yet and most of the pictures I take are pro bono to help build up a portfolio.

I can go either with something simple or completely whimsical as long as it has my name on it, Georg Ermitano, as part of the logo and the word photography. I'm open with colors and any artwork that portrays/hints photography in general.

    Thanks in advance.

@1970Forest - thanks for the quick turn-around, it looks very good but I'm looking for something more linear and also for the graphics piece to be on the small side. I don't want it to be too distracting that it takes the viewers attention away from the photo. I apologize for not giving too many of the specifics, again, I'm fairly new to this.

to make it easier for the designers to help you out and get what you are looking for.

Also please try to contribute in the forum to help others aswel. You could start by giving reviews of others sites or maybe offer your pictures for our graphics use or something.

    Thanks :)

    1) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?
I don't have a website yet. I'd like to use the logo for watermarking purposes at this point.

    2) Description of your website:

Don't have one yet but most of my photographs revolve around people in a photojournalistic style if you will.

    3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:
[IMG]113287070 photo - Manuel Libres Librodo Jr. photos at pbase.com - I like this for creative use of text as main focal point for a graphic image.

http://www.easyweddingsearch.com/pro/wp-content/uploads/peter-prior-logo.gif - This I like for its simplicity.

http://www.easyweddingsearch.com/pro/wp-content/uploads/chris-taylor-logo.gif - again, simple and good colors

    4) Requested size of your logo:
Primarily going to be used for watermarking digital photographs, I'm thinking high resolution so as not too limit the photo in size if printed (???).

    5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
    Not really.

    6) Any colors you prefer?
I'm open to colors as long as it's not too distracting against the photograph.

Seeing it's basically to use as a watermark, how about something simple like initials?
It converts fairly well as a watermark on the pic beside it.

@genuine - those are pretty good designs and would look good on a website but I think the colors would be too distracting on a photo.

@covert - i love it! genuine couldn't have said it better... simple and effective. would it be possible to get it in a psd format?

I no longer provide the original layered files for the free logos.
I have attached a zip file containing the logo in both .png and .ai format.

    Cheers

@covert - thank you very much.

the wife saw if and liked it very much that she's envious now. she's caught the bug and into photography as well, blames me for it. she's asking if she can get a rendering for her as well? her name is judy ermitano and she likes the "kim sinclair" logo with the swirl. appreciate the time and help.
