Legacy Photography logo as a signature

    Hi guys!
    I am new here , and came across this post and was impressed with the suggestions about Tina's logo. I am also brainstorming to find some idead for my boyfriend's logo. He is also a photograppher and would like to use his logo at his web site and as a signature on the photos, therefore the logo must be simple and readable also when very small and on various backgrounds. I tried to use the Logomaker, but I do not like the forms there, since are too cartoony (I do not know if this is a real word :)).     At first I was satidfied, but it looks too crowdy on the pics. My boyfriend fancied a shadow, but I wanted to have just the text without a shadow.
    Do you, by any chance, have any idea to help a poor soul out? :)

    I moved your post to its own thread.
    Your logo (above) actually looks quite okay, except for the shadowing which gives it a 'messy' appearance.
    I would suggest removing the shadowing and also change the "Silvo Salcnik + photography" font to an upper case simpler font such as arial or tahoma.

    I am sure CovertPea gave you a suggestion on the thread that you wanted deleting?

    Or is it that when you use the word 'suggestion' you really mean can you 'create' a logo....2 totally different meanings :whistle:

    Well, I am certainly not implying to do anything that presents a burden. I am open for discussion and suggestions to the existing logo as well as guidance towards making a new one. I'll post a few options here shortly. Perhaps then it'll be easier to compare and give opinions.

    I'm not sure what this letter outlined in red is and I would remove the shadow or at least lighten it as it will get lost in dark areas of photos and possibly cause the ax to be unreadable.

    This is a letter S in the nick name of the photohrapher :)

    I'll take your word for it but to me it looks more like a lower case f like in the word fax
    I know there are fonts that make an S like that, just why have the confusion.

    maybe remove the dark line and add a oval on the top of the S something like this

    I see, this certainly makes the S more obvious. Thanks. Have you cloned the point below and put it on the top of th S?

    sax.jpg Just made an oval and removed the thick line.
    Didn't do anything with the shadow too much work without the original but I agree with CovertPea, it needs to go.

    No confusion on that one. You know who the photographer is. Looks clean and yet slick.
    I say it's a keeper. What does it look like on one of the photos?
