Legacy Photography business Logo

Good afternoon (my time)!
I started my business just a couple months ago after loving photography for years. I am on a very limited budget since I'm just starting out and I'm wondering if you could help me out with a logo.

1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Ashley Marie Photography

2) What is your website address (ex: http:/site .com/; Site Name)?
www.ashmariephotography.com The logo will be displayed on my site, however, no colors need to be based on my current site as I'm still experimenting with the layout and design.

3) Description of your website or business:
I focus on maternity, newborn, children, families, and engagement photography with an occassional wedding. I do like modern touches on my photography - not your plain old backgrounds.

4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey the style you are looking for?


5) Requested size of your logo:
The logo will be used both on my website (small) and also on T-shirts- although they would be approximately 6" tall give or take on the shirts

6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
N/A

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Text and graphic (see my examples)

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
I'd prefer to stick with natural earthy colors (browns, greens, pale oranges, etc)

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
No pinks/purples or bright colors

10) Describe the target audience for your logo
Modern and sleek - target audience is someone looking for a professional photographer without the high cost of one

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Professional, modern, creative

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Website, prints (ads and flyers), t-shirts & apparel

13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Please no solid background image, I'd like my photos to shine through

14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
I prefer script font for my business name. I like the flowing scrips.

Hi Ashley,

You will have to be patient as we are doing this in our free time and at the moment we're all busy with either paying customers or other tasks so you will have to be patient and wait for someone to help you out or you could pay a designer and join in the list.

Thank you for your contribution with your image(s) on the 'calling all photographers' post. Feel free to roam a little more and give some website reviews etc and basically help others out too

GC, thank you. I completely understand all of you volunteer time. I'm not in any hurry at all, just can't wait to see what comes of it. I've browsed around and I have seen some of the things you have all done and they all look awesome.
I plan to keep contributing to the photographers forum as well as I've been doing a few website reviews.

Hi! I like it but it seems a little too over the top. This logo will go on photos (transparent background) so I do not want the logo to take away from my photography.

Thanks! I like that, but I'm a little unsure of colors. I really need to stay pretty neutral with colors because they will go on photos and I don't want the logo to compete with the photo. I will definately keep contributing - probably more after this week due to the fact I have a huge (8 hr) exam this weekend I'm preparing for. Thank you for your help and like I said I do like the design. What about the words "Ashley Marie Photography" encased in something? Kind of like you see monograms done, but with Ashley Marie and then Photography under it?
