    Hello,

I am trying to find the right logo for my hobby project: an online led light store..
Tried designing it myself, just turns up being ugly :)

    1) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?
LEDjewel.nl - in dutch for now and with a standard theme design, trying to modify it later on..

    2) Description of your website:
a led store - led lights, led gadgets and stuff. keywords are: lighting, trendy, enviromentally friendly, mood & design

    3) List 3/2 logo designs you really like & why:
Coca cola - energetic, triggers action
Ford slogan - the Serif font used in current commercials is modern, stylish

    4) Requested size of your logo:
At least 400, max of 2000 pixels wide

    5) Do you have any images/photos/clipart that can be used for the logo?
Unfortunately not :) Not that creative either.

    6) Any colors you prefer?
Most stylish I find (navy-)blue / white / (dark grey)

    7) What TEXT needs to be on the logo and how is it to be placed.
    LED·je·wel.nl
    or
    led·je·wel.nl

Let see here you are in The Netherlands and you are addressing people from all over the world so Question NO 3 really won't help unless you have a link of sort.
    To give you an idea;
I am in Atlanta, Coca Cola's home town and never heard of that one.
Ford slogan in current commercials doesn't have any Serif font that we see, or do they put up a slogan on the screen not to mention it is hard to determine what font a commercial is using. Maybe you can go look around for the font an post a link and a name of the type of font you would like.

    400 x 2000 pixels with just a white background is 2.29M bytes
Your site is only 876 pixels wide.
Your present logo is only 296 x 50 pixels the one below in the ad is 835 x 250 pixels
It may not proportion down properly to fit at the size you stated.
It really wouldn't be a logo but more of an advertisement.

Post it, so we have a better idea of the direction you are taking.
I have made lots of down right ugly graphics. I promise no one will laugh.

Check into these things, it will make it easier or the Graphics People.
