Flash Not even sure where to post this

Hey guys.

I read a great deal of the forum before I signed up, and you all seem really helpful. I'm trying to rework an existing website and add an artist profile section. The goal is to list the bands down the side and as visitors click on the band, have the profile open up on the same page (I think this is done using frames??) I have no idea, even after all the reading I've done all over the web, how to pop up the profile within the existing page. So, that's question 1.

Question 2: I wanna include individual music players for each band as each profile opens (all within that main page.) I have no idea how to do this either.

I've never done any web design in my life, so I'm pretty ignorant to the ins and outs, although I've had a really easy time with the aesthetics if the site...basic html and css using Dreamweaver...except the above.

Any help would be awesome!! Sorry if I stuck this thread up in the wrong section.

 

if the site is in html format it´s very easy to make the "popup" open in the same window...

Sure. The website is www.chrismara.com I didn't do anything you see on the site, and I'm saving some of the content, but totally reworking the look and navigation.

I'm going to combine the sounds, photos, and links pages all into one streamlined page with the artists' profies popping up as you click them...that's why I want to figure out the player thing instead of having visitors download music.

so, isntead of that blank page with the player you just want to open some kind of small player and stay with the same layout, or the same page right? that can be done, you can use a flash music player, there are lots of them, and you just edit the music and save it on them and then paste it in the html page...

you want several players "on hold" in the main page? and if you click some it´ll start playing the music?
if the solution above works for you just paste several players in your html main page...
