    Hi There,

I am new to this forum and am looking for some help of which would be greatly appreciated.

After years of wishing to do, I have finally decided to enter a new team into my local Amateur Football League. The inspiration for this new team is the memory of my late Grandfathers of whom I miss very much so we have decided to name the team after them as a tribute given the fact they had the same initials so our team is being named "JS XI AFC".

We have all our sponsors in and we are now going to decide which Kits to buy etc, however, I would love us to have our unique Club Badge which will not only stand out but also be something different to the generic offerings most clubs have.

We will be based in Aberdeen, Scotland and whilst there are things I could incorporate in a badge to do with our local area etc, I am looking for something classy, simple and possibly retro. We have not decided on Club Colours yet but regardless of them, I would just like the colours to be black and white.

What we would like, if possible, is to have a badge with just the name of the club, including AFC, and also the prefix 2010. The picture I have in my head is the font that West Bromwich Albion used on their Kits in the 1970's as per the below picture inside the shield ideas that Arsenal and Fulham use as per below pictures also. If someone could provide some mock designs it would be appreciated.

Also, as I am new to this, could you advise if we would need to pay for any designs and if we can use them for all uses that our club requires.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Have I got this right?

Colours for now: black & white
Shield shape: like arsenals or fulham.
Main pic or image: Just initials JS XI AFC / Est. 2010 (initials in script)

Can I ask what the "XI" represents?
I don't charge for any of the stuff I do here on FWT. Also, you can use them on anything you want.

Although, if you get extra picky and expect heaps and heaps of changes, I'll probably get annoyed and tell you where to go. :p

    Cheers :)

Hi there, thanks very much for the prompt response, it is greatly appreciated.

I can confirm that all details are correct yes. To answer your question the XI is, as you will be aware, Roman Numerals which signify 11 as in the 11 players of the team etc. When deciding upon our name we thought that it did not sound as good being "JS AFC" or "JS UTD/Rovers" etc, the XI prefix is something teams in the UK have adopted in the past but is not that prevalent anymore.

    Thanks

    Hi CP,

Thanks for this, the shield design is amazing and I really pleased with it however I am going to be a pain and ask if it would be possible to make an amendment to the design?

Basically, the font for the JS does not look as intended/hoped so would it be Ok to change it to a similar font where the "S" is more obvious? If not then please just change to the same font as "AFC" which I would be happy with too.

    Sorry for being a pain........

Help me out by looking around for a font that you would prefer I use.
I tried a dozen or so while putting the design together and to me, this one came up the best.

Hi Cp, I have had a look around and like the look of the "Ravie" font on MS word, would it be possile to try that if it is available? If not I am happy for you to choose a similar font which makes the "JS" prefix more prevalent as I have looked at all the Script fonts and I agree with your opinion as above so perhaps feel using the Script font is perhaps not the best idea now.

    Thanks Again.

Hi CP, Thanks, the first one of the two new designs is perfect and definitley what we are looking for. Would it be Ok to take this one? If so could you re-post it on it's own or send via email?

Thanks again for all your help, it truly is appreciated.
