Legacy new football crest

Hi, a group off guys in our town recently started a new football team and do not have a crest at the minute. They are getting jerseys printed and have tried to come up with a logo but so far have been unsuccessful.

The club is called Ferry Rangers and the colours are red and black. If anyone could help with a logo I would really appreciate it.

Questions regarding logo design

1) domain name is not bought yet although will be ferryrangersfc.com
2) local site holding information about the team, players, fixtures and results of matches.. etc.
3) I like the shape of the arsenal crest
4) would need it in afew different sizes as i need it to be printed onto the jerseys and for posters etc.
5) no images at present
6) black and red

Its plain and simple and think it would look really good on the football jerseys!
