hi guys , im new to this site and was wondering if you could help our club, we have had this club badge since we formed the club in 2004, and ive been our website administrator for a year or so now and have been asked to re-vamp and renew our club logos, also to be put on our new kits for 2010-11, in my opinion this badge is tacky and looks like its a bit amatuerish, it supposed to have a tree and 2 hands wrapped around the tree shaking hands, although the idea is good and in keeping with our name, i think the design is poor, so i was thinking if you base the design loosely on the original badge , but put a football in, maybe a better tree!, and better hands or throw a few ideas in yourself!, we are open to anything!, once ive re-done the whole website ill be sure to link this forum to our site, thanks in advance.

so sorry didnt realise there was a questionaree for the request forums.

i think the only idea ive had to make the badge a bit better is to base the tree on nottingham forest, and throw in the likes of a man utd badge with the balls at the side, our colours are red and white. hope this helps

There are others on here who do badges so you never know you might get a reply soon and from what I know there are a few members on here are still practising on it so hopefully your request will be done but you'll have to give it time

Thats fantastic, thanks for having a go, ive looked at a few posts on here and found the crest creator, so hopefully you can make this look a bit better than me, not sure how to curve the name, and if you can make things look a little more proffesional, maybe less balls?, but hope this helps. thanks again.:D

    Hi All

Before you use the Nott'm Forest crest please beaware that it is copy writed and trademarked, I know of several cases where clubs that have used it have had to pay out!!!

I've found a clip art tree with free use so i would try with that

Thanks for the heads up Forest!

Are you talking about the actual crest shape itself? or the tree image that I used?

its the tree itself which is the main brand for NFFC, personally i wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

I do know that the club surf's site to see if this is being used

Yeah i'll do that if he likes it & once he replies back to my pm then i'll change it but thanks for the heads up on that..it's suprising that they've copyrighted that because i've seen it being used a couple of times

these are absoulotley brill, thanks thanks and thanks, think i agree with forest think the balls in the triangle is the better of the 2, but the forest logo does look good, even though it is copyrighted, but as our club is self funded im not sure we can afford to pay royalty costs!!!, so i think ill stick with the clipart tree, maybe even if its a temporary one, right im gonna show these to the club then get back to you, then you can send me the proofs and ill sort out a donation for u , thanks again

    Hi Nutty1980

I have edited the clip art tree slightly and now it looks closer to the Forest emblem (to ma anyway) if you like it and GG don't mind he may well knock up your badge with it?

Also I have since spoken to someone who works in the Nott'm Forest offices and it has been known for clubs to ask permission to use the emblem and it on occasions has been granted, may well be worth having a go Nutty?
