Legacy need logo for photography site

hi all.
hoping that some kind person can help me out. looking for a new logo to use on my photos and on the site that i use right now to share my pictures (smugmug). plan on expanding to a website eventually. ive tried coming up with something on my own, but just not that talented when it comes to that kind of stuff. i gotta say that i really like what you guys are doing here and i plan on contributing however i can. thanks for any help you can provide.

no site as of yet. using smugmug now just to show my photos but planning to do a website soon

as of now, just on my own type of photography. mostly pictures of landscapes and sports. hope to expand it into a side business or something seeing that im getting more and more friends asking me to shoot pictures for them

5) Requested size of your logo:
want to use it for watermark on photos and for logo on smugmug and eventually on website (size im using for logo on site now is 560 x 107 but can be taller if need be)

only image that im wanting incorporated into the logo is some sort of a camera shutter (like the one here - http://yotubos.com/blog/video/work-in-progress-tatuaje-y-stop-motion/) centered and in the background. kind of a faint image in a lighter shade of green or lighter shade of blue
7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
would like the text to be white and the background image mentioned above to be in one of the colors mentioned above. would also like it in black text just in case i decide to use it on something else (cards, t-shirt, etc. - you never know!)
9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo
any colors other than those mentioned
10) Describe the target audience for your logo
basically starting out and mainly doing stuff for family and friends and showing my photos.

want to use it as a logo on my smugmug page (eventually on website when i get one done), on photos (mainly use picasa, GIMP, Digital Photo Pro for photo editing). might want to use it other places, but at the moment, just not sure where.
13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
would like the name on one line and then photography beneath (the word photography can be all caps or all lower case and in a standard, regular font)
14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
for the name part, i like luna bar on dafont.com, but interested in seeing any other handwriting type of fonts. the word photography can be in a normal font. (hope that makes sense)

Note that the font requires a license, so if you were to use "Luna Bar" legally, you would have to purchase a license.

 

a license? figures.....lol! i really like what you did with that though. what i was kinda looking for was the shutter behind the words. kinda like the "k" in the middle of it. found another font i like though. its this one http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=inkburrow&psize=l

 

yeah the licenses are usually only like $20 (US) then you use it forever. But the new font you found is good too and I checked the license it says its free.
here is what it looks like with the shutter in the middle and the new font:

(I just used a multi-colour background because you'll be placing your logo over pics.)
I added the last one because I thought the shutter in the middle might make it hard to read your name.

 

kinda glad you did add the last one. i think i like it the best. trying to decide how i feel about the shutter. i wanted some sort of small design or something with the logo and the shutter was the first thing that came to mind. maybe something simpler. any ideas? i really do like what youve done so far.

 

To be honest, I think you should just ditch the colours on the shutter and leave it 80% opaque, white

hmm..... can anyone else help me? havent heard back from osman. like the general idea of what he's done, but im kinda thinking i want to ditch the shutter part of the logo, and have the word photography go the whole length of my name. i thought i wanted some sort of graphic and thought the shutter would be good, but now im just not sure. anyone else have any ideas?? thanks in advance.
