I'm just starting to create a website for my photography business and would love some help on a logo and watermark. I'm really excited to see what someone can help me create and what I can give back to the forum. I really appreciate you time and creativity in helping me.

    1) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?
It's currently a work in progress, but I'm using the template at this link: ProPhoto Demo 1 Elegant Starter Design
The logo will be for "little heartstrings"

    2) Description of your website:
I'm a natural light photographer specializing in children and families.

    3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:
I love classic and clean looks that have a little something extra like some scrolls or little shapes (like hearts).
    Here's some screen shots:
    Screen shot 2010-08-06 at 12.04.09 PM.jpg
    Screen shot 2010-08-06 at 12.04.58 PM.png
    Screen shot 2010-08-06 at 12.05.18 PM.png

    4) Requested size of your logo:
Basically we ask this to determine the graphic's resolution and what it will be eventually used for.
The logo should read little heartstrings (I think I prefer it in lowercase, but am open to any ideas)
The logo will be used both for the web and for printing on marketing materials. The web logo need to be
    Image Stats:
    Width: 450 pixels
    Height: 94 pixels
The logo for marketing materials is flexible in sizes, but in order to be good for printing it must be 300ppi
Is the logo to be used solely for the web? (low resolution)
Will it be made into a poster or printed on shirts? (high resolution)
Do you need the final image in various sizes? (various resolutions)

    5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
I prefer not to have a photo in the logo, just a little heart and scroll or something like that....but you are the artist and I'm very excited to see what you can create.

    6) Any colors you prefer?
I flexible on colors and am interested to see what you suggest.

Again thanks so much for your help and let me know if you need any more info.

    Finally! A cursive-y, flow-y photography request!

Haha, anyway, I'm totally down to help out with this! Unfortunately, I'm actually going out in just a few minutes (taking my nephew to go swimming for a bit)....but I'll definitely start working on this tonight :) I can't wait :D

By the way, I love the template you chose! :)

    Thanks Cynthia

Not a problem....I am so excited to see your ideas. I love the template too, so hopefully all the photo. Have fun with your nephew.

Alright, I'm back. My nephew is 17 months old and loves the water, haha!

Before I begin, I just wanted to know -- what kind of background do you want? Colored, White, Black, or Transparent?

I think white or transparent is probably going to work best.

My oldest son is 3 1/2 (the half is very important to him) and my little one is 8 months old. The boys sure do love their Aunts as I'm sure your nephew does too. I think being Aunt has to be the best job ever....now if only my siblings would help make me one. :)

Alright, so here are some quick tries. Let me know if I'm on the right track...Also, I didn't know if you wanted the word "photography" in there...let me know if you don't want it..

Haha, my sister is 11 years older than I am, and she says that her kids need some cousins...too bad my other sister is NOT the mother-type, and then it's me...who is just entering college and I don't plan on having kids for quite some time, haha! And then my younger brother who is a complete anti-social nerd...the pressure's on, haha! ;p

Those are both great. Is there a way to make the second one similar in cursive font to the first one and make the little heart a nice pinky magenta color. You did a great job.

Both my siblings aren't planning on kids....kind of puts my chances of being an Aunt to a minimum....so instead I'm Aunt's to all my close friends children.

Ok, so I went back and looked at them again...and now I'm thinking I like the first one with out the black outline and if the heart was just a pinky magenta filled in. Gosh...I'm just so happy with your quick work on this. It means a lot that you helped me out.

Two versions; one with what you wanted, and another with the "photography" text in magenta/pink..

If these are indeed what you want, then let me know, because these images are 72dpi and RGB formats, which is not good for printing... I'll be able to give you a link to download the logo, 300dpi, CMYK format, which is perfect for printing, though. Just let me know which image is the "final" logo, and I'll go ahead and upload it and send you the link! :)

    Mind if I join in?

Cynthia I can't see your designs all I see is a 'Red X' but that's from my end some other members are also seeing that so I can't see the designs so I gave it a go anyway. Hope you don't mind.

Tried to give it the 'heart' type of effect but here it is anyway...

Let me know what you think...

Thanks. Not sure if admin can fix that but some members can see it like Ish and some can't like me and forest but at first we could but now we can't  so not sure what it is but hopefully it'll be sorted soon. :D

genuinegraphics.co.uk you are making my choices so hard as I love your design too. Is there a way to see it with all lowercase and the font light blue but keep the hearts a fun pink. Maybe some pretty flowy scrolls are something too.....but really such a lovely design.

Cynthia - I love the design, but I think it would be great with the heart filled in and refine the shape of it.....to be in my professional marketing materials it really needs to be refined a bit.....but I love the font and flowiness.....everyone is really so nice for helping me out.

Thanks. I'll work on that and post it up after about 12 hours or so as it's way past midnight and had a busy day and got another one coming up so Cya for now! :p

By the way, what are you using the logo for? Just the website and a watermark for your images? or is it going to be on marketing materials too?

I love the first one Cynthia, the only thing is the bottom of the heart, it doesn't seem to come down into one point....is there a way to refine it and then I think it is done. Thank you so much for your hard work.
