    1) Hi I am need of a Logo for a company I am launching this year, the company is called Candle Flicker if I can find something I like it will be hosted at CandleFlicker.com

    2) It will be a company specializing in scented candles and custom candles.

    3) the logo designs I like are similar to: keystonecandle.com/ keystone candles logo.
I really like something like this as well : alice.scentsy.us/Content/Images/Scentsy-Logo.png

    4) 241px by 112px like the above logo is ideal size but don't have to be exact.

    5) I do not have any artwork to contribute to the logo unfortunately

    6) Color preference i'm pretty much open too right now! Play with it I'd love to see what some of you can come up with!

Sounds like you might be having a store on line.
What have you been looking at?

Yeah I'm going to be putting together an online store selling various types of candles from every day use to Holiday and special Occassions and plan to feature more than just that.

What do you mean by " what have you been looking at " ?

Most people usually have a software and a template in mind like Zen Cart or oscommerce or one of the paid versions before they design a logo.

Oh yeah I am going to be using ZenCart i'm looking into templates still or determining whether to get a customized one done for the site? But not sure yet. yes not having one Picked out plays a factor on a logo but that's why I like this site as different people have different styles so I'll get a few different options I could work with.

    Ok

I found the template I will be using it's designed as a jewlery site that i'll be converting to fit my needs, But you'll be able to get a rough idea how the logo will fit and the size I would need. If possible I would like a small enough logo for the website and a bigger sized for any other purposes I may need that is just a suggestion though. But to check it out I provided the link below! Once again I appreciate all who has helped me so far!

    GStarr-
Hello, I am a graphic design student in need of some practice and I'm interested in designing your logo. If you give me a couple of days, I'm sure I can come up with something to show you.

    thank you

    Thanks

Britney Thank you very much for wanting to take on a logo design for me! At the same time getting you some extra practice which is awesome. Take your time, and if needed more than a couple of days that's fine too!

Until then, I'm Anxiously waiting to see the results!

    Thanks, Shawn

Hey gstarr, not looking to do your design but thought i would make a few suggestions. Have you looked at oscommrece for your back end it is easy to use and amazing with many different temps you could use. Have you incorporated? you might want to double check you name thru your state database and then file with the state.

well I was planning to run it on zen cart which is close to Oscommerce. Not that Oscommerce is bad but would rather run it on a windows based and not Linux.
I haven't yet but I do plan on it! I ran a check on the name and I didn't come up with anything so i'm looking okay for right now but I know I do need to get the Inc. quickly!
    I appreciate the tips!

    no problem!

hey it's absolutely no problem. I say give me a couple of days, because logo-a good logo- takes time. There is more to coming up with a logo than opening photoshop and typing out the first thing that comes to mind! I'll tell ya how I plan on doing it:

first, I wanna ask a couple of questions:

    1. Are you looking for something very detailed and flashy, or are you looking for more of a simple, clean, vector logo? what logos typically appeal most to you?

    2. Do you prefer something that is text and a small icon, or do you want something that has a lot to it?

    3. Can you describe your business -or prospective business- in 3 words or more? just give me some adjectives to describe it. What key words would you use to describe your new logo?

I'm sorry for the questions but these are very crucial to my design process!

I believe it! And the fact that you wish to work with me and provide me with a good quality logo is awesome!

You know it's hard to say which I prefer I've seen logos with just a simple vector images that looked great and then flashier one's that really stood out! But I'd imagine though A simple clean vector imaged logo would be perfect for me!

Something a little more than text and a small logo would be nice!

My business will be in the sales of Scented Candles, custom candles, from votive to pillars and all in between! From Scented oils and other fragrances! Key words would be

    • Glimmer
    • Glow
    • Glitter
    • Illumination
    • Sparkle
    • Flicker
I don't mind the questions! Your professionalism is appreciated! Thanks again!

can you give me some words to describe what you expect your new logo to demonstrate? Some examples would be:

    -clean
    -colorful
    -obvious or subliminal
    etc..

    things such as this?

I always begin sketching on paper. The process I use requires me to work closely with you every step of the way to ensure you are satisfied and to reduce the amount of unessesary work on me. I will work up a few concepts and send them your way. From there you will decide whether I am going in the right direction or totally off, and you'll give me plenty of feedback :) if you like what you see I will couple your favorite concept with any suggestions you have and get back to work.

you're feedback and cooperation is very crucial :)
