Legacy Need a help making my band's logo :)

Hey guys this is Sujay, I've introduced myself in the "Introduce yourself" section.

Actually, I've my own Trash Metal band named "Cussed Rake", the thing is I'm not being able to make a logo suitable for a Metal band, even if I'm good in designing Web 2.0 logos, and another thing I'm not so rich that I can afford to higher a GFX designer, so I minded using this helpful site which I found through a Search Engine.

Now before making this topic I have read all the TOS and "Further Info for logo requests" because I want to keep the forum decent enough.

As it's a band

1. It's name is Cussed Rake

2. Description: It's a Trash and Heavy Metal band from India, as it's a Metal band it's necessary for the logo to be brutal or dominating, at least for our band.

3. To make the way of designing to Humble Designers here easier, I'd definitely provide some examples.

4. I humbly request the designer to make full use of brutal, dominating and devilish brushes and fonts, it's just an request and humble request.

5. High Resolution logo will do for me and size of it can be as equal to a desktop wallpaper

6. Any dark colours will work for background and text, try to write text on the properties I mean brushes.

Ok, I'm not quite sure about it, I've never done this kind of thing before, so hows this going so far? I fudged up the scratches but I can redo them if you like the overall image.

Thanks Recidvist, you made it good, but it's little more Gothic than Brutal, but I'll surely use this pic for my band's web gallery.. Can you make it little more Brutal and violent :-s?

Heh thanks. Hmmm, brutal...I'll brainstorm a little and see what I can come up with. Any suggestion of what you'd like in it that you think defines Brutal?

Wow! They are just awesome, can you convert these into wallpapers? and do me a favour please make one like Sodom for me, but try using Red instead of blue and use some font like Sodom, and thanks again man

 

Yeah I'll try and make a text based one, I'm not very good at those though so it may take sometime before I feel happy with anything.

 

Okay, never mind if you can't do like Sodom, make it your way like you made that Red Skull one, everyone liked it.. Use your Brutal imagination, but just make Text Effects more brutal Thank you

 

No other tries by others

 

There are a lot of other requests and there really arn't that many active designers so give it time and someone else might jump in. Also, other than Watawaka I don't think anyone has really done much with Heavy metal, brutal etc. requests.

I'm gonna take a go at that text based logo now.

 

Ok, I had a go at the text based logo, as I have said, this really isn't my strong point, but it's been pretty good practise. So here's my attempt, I hope it isn't too shite ^_^

(It's only 'Cussed' so far as I jsut wanted to show you how it's going.)

Also, i am certainly redo-ing the E, it came out completely wrong and I just did something quickly.



Updated the E, although I am still not happy with it. I don't know what do to with the E :/



Yeah, I really suck at making text

Heh thanks. Yeah, Watawaka is pretty sick.

So, I gave it another shot and tried to do soemthing like that Soqom logo you posted. Here's my attempt at that: It was pretty quick and I didn't really put much effort into it, it was just to test that sort of theme.

Nah it's cool This is a pretty interesting request and I'm learning quite a bit from it. That red skull one was actually an accident. I was making a Brushed metal background to map some scratches through it, but I fudged up on some of the filters and got that sweet chaotic background ^_^

Shit, just spilt Irn Bru on mai keyboard. I'll get working on something when I've cleared that up xD
