Hi, if possible I am looking for someone to design a club crest for my newly formed football team.

The team name is Medway United FC and we are established in 2010.

To loosely answer the questions from the sticky:-

    1) We currently only have a Twitter page but may eventually become a Facebook group

    2) N/A

    3) I am not too fussed about copying a badge that I have already seen. If it helps I quite like the idea of a shield style badge. Again within the design something to do with a football and maybe a Military/Naval style design. This is a link to the Wikipedia page for Medway (Medway - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). As you can see it is famous for its Military/Naval/Victorian history so I'm not sure if this could be used within the design?

    4) Could the badge please be high resolution as it is for shirt printing and also a logo for our twitter page. If it could come in various sizes it would be much appreciated.

    5) I really have no problems with anything being used within the design, I am fully open to suggestions.

    6) The colours we play in are Yellow/Black so anything based around them would be superb.

Just to add that on the crest if it could include 'Medway United FC' and 'Established/Est./Founded 2010' that would be absolutely great.

If you need anymore information do not hesitate to ask, I will constantly be checking back and trying to assist as much I can with some other peoples queries.

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

    Chris -
It's rare that we see new members reading through the 'stickies' prior to posting a graphic request. Good onya mate!
Not only that, you've also offered to help out around the forums as well. :)
    Now, down to business...
About your crest style, have you seen any other crests (either here or online) that you like the look of? If so, just post the url of the image for us to check out. If you post an image here, please ensure it's no wider than 700pixels.

    Cheers

Hi CP, firstly thanks for the kind words, I believe in helping to be helped so ill try my best around the forums.

As for crest designs I am unfortunately posting from my BlackBerry at the moment so when I get home I will have a quick browse around and see if any stand out and if so post them.

To be honest I very relaxed about the crest and would therefore be open to any custom designs or originals.

I will also post a picture of our home and away kits in case this helps with the design procedure.

Once the design is finished would it also be possible along with a colour version to get it in a fully black finish and a fully white finish both with invisible backgrounds? I'm not very clued up on the graphics side of things so not sure how easy this would be?

Thanks again and I will post later today.

    Chris

Hello again, back home now so thought id update the thread.

Not sure if it will help but our current website is www.twitter.com/MedwayUnitedFC

I have also attached pictures of both our Home Kit (Yellow/Black) and our Away Kit (Navy/White)

I would prefer the crest colours to remain Yellow/Black if possible please.

As for ideas of other badges that i like here are 3 examples.

    1) Google Image Result for http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/fi/thumb/5/5e/Hull_City_AFC-n_logo.svg/661px-Hull_City_AFC-n_logo.svg.png

    2) http://dlf-ipl.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/deccan_chargers.jpg

    3) https://freewebsitetemplates.com/forum/f17/amendment-football-badge-14596/

    Hope this helps!

That is superb CP. An excellent design. Would it be possible to upload that in a few different resolutions etc. ?

Did you make any other designs as well as that one?

That's the only one I've put together. Why? Did you want something different?
I can convert the above to a vector image, then you can resize up or down without losing clarity.

That design is great CP, your superb at what you do! Would it be possible to look at it with 'Established 2010' instead of 'Founded 2010' ?

In fact on second thoughts i really like the wording 'Founded 2010' so the design is great as it is. how hard would it be for you to convert it to a vector image for me ?

    I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

Zip contains full sized .png plus vector versions in both .ai and .eps format.

Let me know when you have the file downloaded so I can remove it from the forum.
Good luck with the team Chris!

The .ai vector is opened with Adobe's Illustrator and the .eps (encapsulated postscript) can be opened with Corel Draw or Paint Shop Pro.
I think you can also open both within the free vector program "Inkscape".
The png file within the zip has a transparent background.
What graphics program/s do you have to view these files?

Hi, i downloaded and used the free program 'Gimp' and from using that i have now realised that the .png did indeed have a transparent background. I will download 'Inkscape' now and keep it handy for future use.

As mentioned by CP i was happy with the wording 'Founded 2010' and to be honest the more i look at the club crest, the more impressed i am.

I appreciate all your help CP and look forward to seeing the badge on our next kit. I will be sure to stay around the forums and continue to provide advice or help if i can.

Also thanks for the kind comments Modman, i too think the crest is yet again a great design by the highly skilled CP.

Would love to see a shot of the crest on your new kit when it's on there.

    Cheers mate.
