Hi all, i would be eternally gratefull if some clever minded person (unlike me) could make me a logo to use as a mark for my Digi photo's and maybe soon for business cards and a web site etc.

    1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
    AE PHOTOGRAPHY

    2) What is your website address (ex: http:/site .com/; Site Name)?
    No website at present

    3) Description of your website or business:
    Photography

    4) Search the Internet for any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?
There is a website for a digger company where i like the design of the picture of a digger in their logo but i would like a DSLR camera in that style instead Web site is www.digbits.co.uk

    5) Requested size of your logo:
Initially it will be used to put in the bottom corner of my photo's but hopefully eventually business cards letter heads and website and maybe a t-shirt for a uniform

    6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
No sorry, but i do like the style of the digger logo in this companys logo but i would like a DSLR camera in this style instead www.digbits.co.uk

    7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
    Text and image (Logo)AE PHOTOGRAPHY

    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
It would be very nice if i could get a Black and a white version please, thank you

    9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
    Pink, yellow, green

    10) Describe the target audience for your logo
Anyone looking at my work and maybe wishing to purchase shots.

    11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
    Modern, proffesional, able

    12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
watermark for photo's and business cards letterheads and website eventually.

    13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I would like the logo and text to stand alone ie not in a square or with a background so that when applied to photo's it is just the logo and text applied to the photo and not asquare or rectangular background which will cover some of the photo.

    14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
All i ask is the font is modern looking, crisp and easy to read, no curly wurly joined up writing, the rest i will leave in your able hands.

Many thanks in advance to all your awesome technical minds

Many thanks ishkey, it's as if you were reading my mind! I was trying to do that with the "AE" earlier to post as an idea! Spot on I'd say. Saying that though , even though I wasn't keen on curly wurly writing, there is something I really like about Miss Peas design, but ultimately I think as you've got it exactly as I had it in my mind id love to be able to use yours. How do we work it from here? P.s many thanks for the compliments on the photos. I just hope they can be used by people. Will post some more when I get chance.

Actually ishkey, I was just thinking, would it be possible to make the "A" red and then the rest black and then do a White version with a red "A"? It's just that sometimes where you want to put the logo on the photo is black too so I'd need a White version so you could see it against the black of the photo. Many thanks and sorry for being a pain in the backside!

No problem making the changes. I zipped up a file with several styles for you to use, one or two should work. All are in a png format with a transparency layer, so they will overlay on the photos with no problem.
If you need anything else let me know, seriously.

Don't know if you are selling your photos on-line yet but if not, you really should be. You are a natural, one who's use of the camera as an extension of your eye so all others can see.
Here is a good link which sums up the process of selling in a easy read. "How to sell your pictures online"

ps - you really need a web site to display your work...
pss - "bikeronnie" biker ? motorized or pedal power.

Wow the photos you have taken are fantastic, love the ones from Santa Pod, been there so many times as its just up the road from me.

Got to agree with Ishkey these should be displayed on your own website.

Mr Ish great work on the logo!!!

I agree with Ishkey too. Thanks for posting the images they really are amazing pics and as Ishkey mentioned a site would help you a lot to display all your work and get your name out there.

Would be worth something to look into.

Thanks Forest for the compliments on the photos. I am looking at one of the templates on the home page as a web page. I am an ace at browsing the web but genuinely have not got the 1st clue about starting or even running a web page! Would I need to register, buy a domain name or what??

P.s should be at Santa pod weds 28th with the camera as they are drifting.

Muchas thankus ishkey, ur a legend. We all have our own talents and urs is definitely design and pooters and stuff! I would love to have my own website and even more so love to sell some of my work! I'm not entirely sure I'm good enough but some of you think so, so I guess if some of you guys think so then who's to say some others may not think so too! Like I said to forest, I did look through the templates on the home page and spotted a couple for photography but wouldn't know where to start!

You can start by registering a domain name for your site. Unfortunately aephotography.net and aephotogrphy.org are not available but aephotography.com can be bought for $3,688. However, aephotoraphy.info is available. If you register it with GoDaddy you can have it for $1.99. Once you registered a domain all you need is get it hosted it. I can do that for and create a site with the template you have spotted.

Damn, I heard about the drifting a while back but completely forgot about it!!! Not sure if you have or not but speak with Santa Pod and see if you can set up a pitch there to sell photos, the owners love to buy pics of their own cars in action.......

Also I'm sure now that TOMW has offered you help in setting up a site you would be mad not to take him up on it!!! Mr Ishkey also knows a thing or 2 about this (so pick his brains )

Keep us informed on how you go, and even set up a new thread if you take Tomw up on offer, so that others can learn along with you?

    Thanks Forest for the support.

Correction on the last thing I said:
I can do that for [FREE] and create a site with the template you have spotted.

My mind was thinking that but my hand refused to type it.

If you accept my offer this will benefit us both as this will showcase our projects to the community. Perhaps this will also benefit the members here if they have similar need.

Unfortunately for me they is already a track photographer who does this, his name is Ian Blackett. Nice guy though, spoke to him a few times and although he is willing to share his knowledge i doubt very much he'd be willing to share his livelyhood!! Bugga!

I'm gonna take up the offer of help as, as i've already mentioned i'm a class A novice when it comes to this!!

Many thanks tomw, i will take you up on that offer as i would have no chance on my own!! I don't even know what hosting is!! Apart from handing out drinks at a party!!

Great! We can get started as soon as you registered a domain name for your site. The domain name needs to be set up and it would be easier for me to walk you through the process if you use GoDaddy since I also use their service. aephotography.info is available and for only $1.99. Let me know when you get it registered and I will set up the hosting which right now you do not need to know what that is.

Looking forward to watching this project progress.

I can't answer your above question, but from my very limited knowledge is that tomw hosts the sites via Godaddy already (saving a hosting fee)
He may well be able to work with this as you need to own the domain, so could possibly transfer to GD; I may be well off the mark but tomw will soon put this right, I'm sure of it!!!
