I want to first start by saying that I appreciate all the work the graphic designers on this site do. There seems to be a lot of people that request a logo and are unappreciative. I hope these individuals do not deter the artists who reply to requests. Keep in mind that they are offering their services for FREE. With that said, I have browsed the site in the past and like a lot of the work I have seen.

I am starting a new company and need to portray a professional image. I have a couple of ideas but since I only have basic PS skills I cannot make anything as good as what I have seen here.

I will try and give as much information as possible to make this easier on the designers.

The company is a real estate development and management firm. I do not have a website currently but hope to in the future. The logo I am requesting will be used for everything including website, business cards, banners, letterhead, etc. So the ability for different sizes would be greatly appreciated.

The name of the company is Noble Development. The logo I had originally was created from vistaprint's logo creator. It is attached but used the old Noble Enterprises name. I like the font because it is professional.

What I would really like to see is a blue N with a crown on the upper left point of the N. At like a 45 degree angle. I hope this description is good enough to paint a picture in everyones head. I like the crown idea because of the company name Noble Development. Then as seen in the attached logo the company name Noble Development underneath the N. I would like to see the same blue and gold colors. Maybe the text blue and the crown gold? I also didn't know if the crown should just be a vector image or something a little more complex?

Any other creative insight or ideas are more than welcome. I am looking for a simple yet professional design. I see a lot of real estate firms that incorporate a house or something along those lines incorporated in their logo. I feel this is overused so for now I am requesting a logo without that feature.

I appreciate any and all designers that respond to this post. Thank you in advance.

    -----EDIT 06/04/10-----

Here is an example of what I am talking about. I just created it in PS. As you can see my skills are very limited. Maybe even a crown that is less ornate and more simple? I do have the vector images for the crown I used if anyone wants to work with that.

Hey you have the program and the skills. Look for tutorials.

It's not a difficult task, because you've already got the program and I can see that you do have the skill for it. Look around for tutorials and learn how to do it instead of getting someone else to do it.

That way you'll be learning and also you might be able to help us around in the forum too by doing graphics for others...

    give it a try...;)

Since we are volunteers in a give and take forum about website templates and that which is related to them, why don't have a look around to see where you can contribute and we will see what we can do for you. I have a few ideas as I'm sure others will.
Maybe give a review or try the General Forum put up a article of something in your expertise.

    @genuinegraphics.co.uk
I have been trying a couple of things but I get very frustrated when I cannot make it look the way I intend it to. I also do not have the same kind of creative mind that is able to achieve a lot of the excellent work I have seen on this site.

It wasn't really my intention to look for a hand out but more creative ideas and some designer help along the way. Although you wouldn't hear me complain if someone tackled this request for me.

    @ishkey
I will continue to look around the forum to see if I can contribute anything.

ok but still you need to practise which is how we all started to create graphics..getting frustrated by not getting the right design is what you have to go through because you won't get it right the first time...

    but here's my go anyway...

Very nice review you gave to member colinc86 - thanks.

Here is my rendition of your logo. Made the crown in more of a Maserati style, rich and elegant.

Ishkey I really like your rendition. Do you have the .psd file and can it be sized for different purposes such as banners? Or is the resolution not high enough?

Thank you all for taking a shot at it.

No I don't have the psd file as I did not make it in Photoshop. It is 96 dpi more than enough for the web. Here is a png optimized at 256 colors at 96 dpi with alpha transparent layer. Both should be large enough to work with as is or reduce in size.
Think that will be work for you?
If your still giving away your crown vector that would be nice if you posted it.

ishkey what program do you use? Paintshop Pro? I think I will be able to work with that. I'll open it in PS to see if I can re-size it for banner use. Is there a classification for what that design is under the text?

The vector image includes a total of 4 crowns and is a EPS file with 200 PPI but I have converted it to a PSD file. I have also saved it as a JPG file but I can save it in additional formats if needed.

"Is there a classification for what that design is under the text?"
Category: ‘Ornaments, Florals’ these were hand drawn - grouped - duplicated and enlarge - placed behind the first group - both of a different color.
ishkey what program do you use?

I have several programs but your logo was made in Xara Xtreme Pro 5 - vector base.
I can generate a eps or AI file if you wish. Though I didn't put every thing in layers but you can still work with the file.
Thanks for the crowns. You say you have it in eps - that would be nice.

Something I can work with in PS would be nice. I will have to take a look at that program because I have never heard of it before.

Yes it is in EPS form but the forum wouldn't allow me to post it as an attachment. I could email it to you?

see if this will work in the eps format.
Xara problem was they never pushed their product long ago. They virtually invented most things you find in vector programs. The cool part is everything is instant on the screen when working with the program and the price is cheap. CorelDraw uses the same engine.

I just tried to add layers for a psd file - give it a try.
