    Hello,
I have been pretty impressed with the work done on this forum and I would love to see what someone comes up with for my logo need. I am starting a Wiffle Ball league and I need a logo with the words "Pro Wiffle Ball" and I would like to incorporate the wiffle ball in the logo.

    1) Website Address:

www.prowiffleball.com (the site is still under major construction)

    2) Description of your website:

The website is for our Wiffle Ball league. It will be used to provide news, scores, stats for our season.

    3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:

I like this Fanwood logo as it captures all the classic aspects of a Baseball League logo (red, white, and blue colors; crossing bats; ribbon), I don't like the block font for 'FANWOOD' as it's too overused with football and high school sports: http://fyobaseball.org/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/Fanwood_Logo_website_v2.7071102.png

This logo also has some classic elements, but has a nice 'new' edge to it: http://logofury.com/wp-content/uploads/2004/2429c2f3675a04aa9080a08dfd23370b.png

    4) Requested size of your logo:

The logo will be used on the web as well as on posters and hopefully apparel (embroidered). Please provide the final image in a high resolution so it can be resized for different applications.

    5) Do you have any images/photos/clipart that can be used for the logo? (these must be copyright free)

I do not have any copyright free images to use, see sketch below for an idea of what I like.

    6) Any colors you prefer?

Red, white and blue would be great!</span>

Also, I sketched up something I like that incorporates the wiffle ball as the 'O' in pro as well as the home plate and baseball bats. Something along these lines would be great!

Not knowing much about any sport, I had to look up 'wiffle ball'. :)
I can put together a crest as per your sketch.
Give me a few days though.

    Cheers

Thanks, look forward to seeing it!

If it helps, since I want to be able to possibly print this on shirts, I don't want anything too detailed or photo-realistic. I like the way these guys did their wiffle balls, 'logo-ized' if you will:

This is what I've come up with while not using too much '3D-ish' detail.

CovertPea, you are awesome! I love the addition of the stars to fill in the blank spot at the bottom and your shade of blue and red is wonderful (not so jarring as the bright blue and red I usually see on these sorts of logos). I may play with the font for 'PRO' a bit, but you've given me a near perfect logo. I'd love to get whatever source file or larger resolution image you may have (psd would be great). Thanks so much!

Getting a 3D look involves adding tints and shades of an objects base colour.
(photoshop call this 'bevels') As in the bat, t & s would make it appear rounded and not flat.

I try to avoid those styles in sports crests as most requestee's want them for printing or embroidering onto team shirts.
You can imagine how a couple of hundred extra colours can blow out a teams printing / embroidery budget!

    :)
