Follow up to request, sorry only read about this after.

    1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
The exact text that you want in your logo. Include other details like

positioning, if you need it done in a certain way.
    MAL Fitting Company

    2) What is your website address (ex: http://MALfittingcompany.co.uk ; Site Name)?
If the logo is to be displayed on your website, style, colouring and background
blend needs to be taken into consideration. site will eventually be creams etc

    3) Description of your website or business:
Another aid for our graphics people in deciding on an appropriate style design.

Its a kitchen and wood flooring fitting business

    4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?
Either post small images of the logo designs (please keep any posted graphics under 600 x 600 pixels) or the URL of where the image/s can be found.
By supplying this info you are helping our graphics people get an idea of the preferred 'style'
    you are looking for.
no, but would prefer something contemporary
    5) Requested size of your logo:
Basically we ask this to determine the graphic's resolution and what it will be eventually used for.
Is the logo to be used solely for the web? (low resolution)
Will it be made into a poster or printed on shirts? (high resolution)
Do you need the final image in various sizes? (various resolutions)
it will be used on website, advertising flyers, t-shirts and staitonary
    6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
Finding an appropriate, non-copyrighted graphic is the hardest and most time-consuming part
of putting together logos. If you have a hand drawn sketch of what you want, please feel
free to scan it and post the image.
(please keep any posted graphics under 600 x 600 pixels.)
    no
    7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
This will help the designers know what type of logo styles you are into and will create your
    logo accordingly.
Text Only - Includes a text only logo which is a logo with just text and some extra effects.
Image only – Includes and image logo with no text (or little text such as initials)
Text and Image – Includes text and images used in your logo. This could be used to either
give a clearer view of what your logo is showing to your audience.
    text and image

    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
State any main colours that you would like in your logo.

    Creams

    9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
State any colours that you do not want in your logo.
    red

    10) Describe the target audience for your logo
This will help the designers to create a logo based at your target audience (e.g Kids – Colourful, eye-catching, possibly characters)

homeowners, so as professional looking as poss, as though weve been established for a while

    11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
This will help the designer know how to design your logo and to what effect.
(e.g could be targeted to attract new businesses, gamers, newly weds, children,
    builders etc etc)
    builders, developers, homeowners

    12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
This will help the designers know which format to create the logo in. You will not
have to decide yourself as all designers will know. Please note down everything that
your logo will be placed on which includes any future plans.
Failure to do so will result in a bad quality logo.

    website, flyers, stationary, t-shirts etc

    13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Please feel free to comment on anything else that you would like your logo to have if it has
    not been mentioned above.

    no

I just couldn't get the cream color thing, but thought this had a flare for a fitting and a established, distinguished look.

    Mark -
I'm curious, would MAL be your initials?
Please don't take offence but I can't stop thinking of the prefix: mal, which in my dictionary means 1.Bad, badly.
If these are your initials, perhaps the logo should show as M.A.L.?

    CP

PS: For some reason I can't access your website.

yes it is my initials, so perhaps M.A.L is better.....as for website the domains purchased but am building it, with help of one of the free templates fom here, though having bit of trouble altering it..

Ishkey, love the design, but not keen on colours bit bright.......amazing work though..can i ask wot programmes you guys use please?

Thanks on the design, but the bit bright and cream color thing from earlier post doesn't help me much. There is a whole range of cream out there a little search and post on your part would help.
Try searching on - cream color
At my age the telepathy part of the brain is the first to go.
Through-out my business career I found the more definitively you communicate with a client, the greater your success, reduced time, increased profits and a wealth of prospects follow.

Which template are you working with?

Here are 3 color attempts for you to look at and maybe someone else will post up after you can narrow this down some.

I apologise for being somewhat vague, i really like the the first two of the 3, they look great....i'll do a search and try if i can find something .

I really appreciate your help, without sites like this, especially as you donate all your free time, things would be a lot harder.

It aws the shower door template one, that i liked......its clean( excuse the pun) not fussy and so professional .

There you go - post up something here when you find it so others can have a better idea of what you want. Can't wait to see what the others come up with.

As far as the "aws the shower door template one" and your problems editing it. Best if you start a new post in the HTML - XHTML - CSS forum with a link to the page the template is on and post it's offical name.

I'm going to take a shot and say you have been work for someone performing the installations and now you are slowly branching out on your own. Close or way off?

    Interesting request...

Thought i'd give it a go too :)

    MAL_logo.jpg

The squares represent the kitchen floors such as tiling and the border is meant to be like a 'messy'' effect with it being a messy job.

Let me know what you think...
