Legacy Logo Brainstorming

I need a logo and I'm stumped.

Mimoun is designing a website for me and I need a logo that will go on the website.

I don't necessarily need it done for me, I'm just having trouble coming up with the concept.

To understand what I'm talking about, look at this logo. See how the addition of a simple graphis to the name makes a versatile logo?

I want something based on the text of my name...either "DC Roe" or "D. Challener Roe". And something simple, that can used as a black and white or dressed up for a webpage. I tried playing with some version of my signature but the problem is my handwriting is illegible.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
