Learning this on my own

Hello im taking up the task of learning web design using the web authoring program Dreamweaver MX. I have books and tutorials and now this fourm. I love the free templates they have to offer now if i can just figure out how to use them LOL

how to use template?

The problem im sure is small but because im new to the whole "Download free Template" thing, I dont know how use it for my website. Im in the process of making it and i want to use the template. I dont have a host everything for now is on my computer. I set up a LAN server but is that a must to do in order to use the template.

Any help is greatly appericated but if you can take me step by step i would love it.

Well making your website from a template is a very fast and easy way of making your website. Just open up the template in Dreamweaver and edit the sites content, its just like using any old text editor like word. Then save the site.\

You can also preveiw the site at any time by pressing the little world icon (preveiw button) and it will open up in your default browser.
