Legacy Help needed!!!!Requesting an logo

    Hi guys,am in need of an logo for my site..I have made an logo for the site but this is just an temp logo..i made an **** poor an a job :(

    As we got some team games comin up soon in the summer i feel its time to get us and nice top knoch logo/brand for the site and for the logos to be put on some shirts..am not have great ideas to the design so if someone could come up with something flesh for our site it would be great.one thing it must have is no backgound color as some of our web templates have diffents colors and the shirts will also be vers colors..so maybe make logo transp pls..

    I am open to all ideas and very greatful to anyone helpin me out..

    If you want a better chance of getting a logo, why not spend the 30 seconds it takes and read the stickies about posting requests.

    Sorry Recidivst i try and post up some info.if need anymore then do pls ask,

    1) What is your website address (ex: http://site.com ; Site Name)?

     2) Description of your website:
    Another aid for our graphics people in deciding on an appropriate style design.

    3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:
    I stuck for ideas on this.but something nice.i will post 3 logos up.but not sure how they would look on an poker site.

    4) Requested size of your logo:
    Basically we ask this to determine the graphic's resolution and what it will be eventually used for.
    Is the logo to be used solely for the web? (low resolution)
    Will it be made into a poster or printed on shirts? (high resolution)
    Do you need the final image in various sizes? (various resolutions)
    (high resolution pls)

    5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
    Finding an appropriate, non-copyrighted graphic is the hardest and most time-consuming part of putting together logos. If you have a hand drawn sketch of what you want, please feel free to scan it and post the image.
    (please keep any posted graphics under 500 x 500 pixels.)

    6) Any colors you prefer?
    Self explanatory.
    none colours prefer as of yet..maybe the designer could help with this

    Not much intrest after 5 days...but do understand the designers are busy.
    dont help when ppls request logos after i posted and get offers before..

    To begin with, it's only been 24 hrs since you've posted in the proper manner of requesting a logo.

    As for the designers being busy...maybe they are, maybe they're not. Being that they provide their services freely it's entirely up to them whether they want to put together a logo for your business or move onto a request that holds more interest for them.

    Speaking for myself, I will only provide logos for what I deem as a worthy cause (sports crests for teams that get kids off the streets and away from computer games being high on my list of worthwhile pursuits)
    Perhaps you've seen some of these requests being filled and feel you've been put on the back burner.
    Be aware that there is no '1st come, 1st served list' with requests around here. It's all a matter of patience.

    Well, you havn't really filled out the 'form' yet. All I know is your website address, and from that I assume it is something to do with Poker. I don't play poker, I hardly know what it is, so I can't really help you. I do hope that someone gets on to your request, but it won't be me.



    I don't do this myself, but it deserved a quote :)

    @ Covertpea and Recidivist sorry about comin across bad..was not ment to be..I join up to this forum becasue i was reading though the forum and saw the nice offer you members was doin for us people who not so good at doin nice logos..i guess with what you two are sayin is that it dont really meet your reasons for doin an poker logo..

    no hard feeling...it was worth an try anyway..

    So Rick you own pokerbuddiez right. Go with me on this one and don't cuss me out.
    When members sign up you expect them to read the rules and understand what the forum is about just like any other forum. So do we but it seems our forum has been turn on it's head.     People have been coming right to this forum requesting without reading - it would be kinda like me signing up at yours and discussing Go Fish on one of the Poker catagories. That would probably drive you nuts. Anyway that's where we are coming from.

    Since you did take it on your own to participate in the forum which is more than most do, we thank you. I have been working on your Logo and if you arn't to ticked off after reading this like others have been you can tell me what you think of it.

    I tried to gather some insite with the info you posted and looking at your Forum. Came up with a simulated a poker chip, added symbols and overlayed a world map on top (your side of the world). The font and coloration works well when reduced to fit your website. It's a png format so you can copy it and see if it works for you.

    That's why I put in png format which has an Alpha Channel. It contains transparency information about the image much like a gif file. So it will just lay ontop of your black background as a poker chip. You could use any color background and it would still look like a poker chip.

    Thank you ishkey thats great.blends in with bg now..ok i have afew questions that was put to me.if i was to have this logo put onto an poster or back of a shirt then would i lose detail much..

    also could you make me the psd file ? i ask becasue i found in the past that i could make the odd change if needed plus i find it best the removed the bg color layer to transp and save in gif format seems to work best for me..maybe its an browser thing,

    You would need a vector graphic or a png instead of of a jpg or gif to put on shirts.
    I didn't create it as a psd file it was done in Xara Pro 4 a vector program without any layers. To convert it would mean having to re-create everything from scratch in Photoshop.

    Let me work on the vector file as I think I know where I screwed up with the backgrounds, so I can remove them. Is it the way you want or are changes needed.

    1st of all thanks,
    I dont want to keep give you little changes all the time as i feel you made an good effort with this.
    Some of my members have pointed out some of the things that could be change now an then..like some like an gold color chip some like dif color writeing. etc etc.
    So am was thinkin about an psd with layers so eash layer could be change to suit my members..then they all could have the same advtar but with there own colour if that makes it clear..am workin on diff color css files for the forum.as some dont like dark colours.so the bg of the chip need to be transp pls..
    am not sure if you can make all the layer editable but if you can then that would be great..

    I'll see what I can do for the poker chips in different colors for the website but it will take some time.
    As far as the shirts - remember the more colors you have the higher the expense, so before you all vote on it check with your local shirt guy. Find out all you can as to colors, cost and what file format is required.
