Hello and thanks!

Just wanted to intro myself.....
Im 32 yrs old, currently residing in Marietta Ga.
I work for (The New)at&t as a Service Assurance Manager. (but would love to do this stuff instead)
I am just starting to dabble in websites within the last year, getting my feet wet, learning as i go.

I'd like to say thanks for such a great community and site where i can pick the brains of people who know what they are doing! I look foward to asking stupid questions and getting excellent help here!

I am insterested in a skateboarding themed template... but the request line/thread seems to be dead... is it still possible to request a theme here?

Ok thanks for the info Scoooty, ill do the next best thing....
I havent the time at the moment, but will, first, go ahead and search here on this site for the things i need... but if there are any external sites anyone can recomend off the top of thier head that are a MUST SEE where i can D/L tools or view some nice tutorials on how to edit templates etc. I just need to get pointed in the right direction, im a pretty good self-teacher. If all else im sure a GOOGLE search on tutorials will produce!

Anyway I'm using the Macromedia suite (dreamweaver/Fireworks/Flash), and Photoshop, are these the creative tools of choice for thise work?

yeh, im finding that out. I had an insterest, so I made a few community type websites for a couple World of Warcraft guilds im in, by messing around with PHP-Nuke and Joomla, but Im not satisfied with templates, and CMS, its fast-n-easy but I feel trapped by limitiations, or my skill just isnt there, to work around them. So I went to the bookstore and picked up some literature, also found alot of good online tutorials for Photoshop, dreamweaver etc. Im a pretty quick learner, so off i go!

 

Yer with premade CMS templates you are very restricted to what you can do but adding and editing content to your sites is very fast and easy to do.
