Legacy Guild Logo Request

Hi,
I'm part of a guild for the MMO Age Of Conan and we're looking for a logo. I had an attempt at it but failed miserably. If someone could help we would really appreciate it.

Rather than the actual logo its an emblem we're after. The name of the guild is "Last Legion". It's a roman themed rp guild. Our motto is strength through loyalty. Don't worry much about background stuff and the rest, I have a basic knowledge of photoshop but when it comes to logos I get stuck. Our current website is pretty useless because we're working on a new one (light Grey themed probably)

hehe, that's the worst part. I have no idea of what images would make a great logo. I tired with helms and shield and swords but wasn't successful. I found an eagle today, I had forgotten about anyways here are the images I had an attempt with.





Sorry for the crappy resolution of the eagle.

There's nothing specific we're actually looking for as long as it reflects a little the roman style (however if it's cool and it doesn't we'll still accept it hehe)

Hmm...I've managed to do something my self, but please post yours never the less, the more the merrier.

 

Here's what I got.
I've got one more effect to put on it.
But, I've got to get photoshop to do it.
(I'm using fireworks right now)
So, I'll post the new version tomorrow.
