Legacy Gloucester Docks FC - Football Badge Design

    Hi, sorry if I am posting in the wrong area - but I am new to the forum and don't quite know my way around yet.

    I am starting my own football club here in Gloucester, UK, and like the poster above I need help designing a badge/crest:

    1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?I would like ‘Gloucester Docks Football Club’ along the top of the circled badge scrolling round. At the bottom going around the badge I'd like ‘Est. 2012’
    2) What is your website address (ex: http:/site .com/; Site Name)?    We have no Website at present. A Plain (No Fill) background would be preferred
    3) Description of your website or business:Football Club
    4) Search the Internet for any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey the style you are looking for?


    5) Requested size of your logo?It will be printed on shirts (high resolution)
    6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (Copyright free)

    Gloucester Docks, Schooner, Possibly top of the Cathedral as well (can supply via email, or there are suitable images on Google - search Gloucester Docks, UK)
    7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?Text and Image
    8) What colours do you want to see in your logo?White, Navy Blue
    9) What colours do you NOT want to see in your logo?    Red, Black
    10) Describe the target audience for your logo
    Professional, eye catching
    11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?Football/Soccer Team, if possible.
    12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?Football shirts only
    13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?N/A
    14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
    Calibri or whatever you believe suits.

    As you've read the Request A Logo Customisation 'sticky', please also remember this important part:
    We are a "give & take" group. If we see you are willing to help others we will most definitely help you.
    So do some website reviews (no need to be an "reviewing expert", most are looking for simple Joe Public's points of view) and I'm sure you'll get a badge design that you will be happy with.

    Alfonso Ruiz Esparza really went in on this one. I love how the background appears a little dirty or grungy at the top and bottom of the background image, and the upper layer is clean and sleek. Awesome job Alfonso.

    Just wondering what colour shirts the badge will be on, the badge seems pretty dark but will look good on a light coloured top!!!
