    Hi there

I'm looking for some help in updating the Geneva Scottish Football Club logo. We have a basic logo from some years back but it no longer exists electronically. You'll find the following files in the attached zip file which I hope will help:

    - a photo of the current logo as embroidered on a polo shirt
    - a mock up of what could be done
    - the Scottish Saltire flag
    - the Geneva city flag
    - a logo for The Unit FC which was done here previously

The Geneva city flag is square (like all Swiss flags) so the Saltire could be squared also to balance the two. We would like one transparent logo for printing or embroidering on shirts and a solid one with navy background for printing on letters, programs etc.

The proposal we have done above is not set in stone, and would welcome any alternatives or more innovative designs which somehow incorporate the two flags.

    1)
What is your website address: We dont have one for now
    2) Description of your website: see above
    3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:
The barcaloco derivation of the FC Barcelona logo retains the essential elements of the FC Barcelona crest in a more dynamic and modern way.

    4) Requested size of your logo: Suitable for embroidering and printing
    5) Do you have any images/photos/clipart that can be used for the logo? (these must be copyright free)
    6) Any colors you prefer? Background navy, text white, flag colours as they are.

Many thanks and all the best

    Barry

    Hello Barry -
To begin with, thank you for the thorough way you've explained your request.
This makes us graphics people's jobs SO much easier!
I'll get something started for you this evening.
Meanwhile, if any other members want to try their hand at creating this crest, please go for it.

    Cheers

Here's a crest based on your 'mock-up' design.
    What do you think?

Looks great, I'll forward to the club Committee but dont imagine there will be any objections! The only thing I'm not sure about is the ribbon which is slighly fussy so if there was a simpler way of doing it, we're done.

    Many thanks again

I thought the ribbon was a way of tying the two flags together. No problems though, it can be easily removed.

Sure, understood. If you could do one without, we'll decide between the two. Very positive response so far.

Here it is without the ribbon.

OK, the verdict is without the banner ribbon. So can you please send me one transparent (without navy background) and one solid final version. Once again, many thanks for looking after this so quickly.

    Regards

    Barry

    You're welcome.

Attached is zip containing both images as requested.
Please let me know when you have downloaded the file so I can remove it from the thread.

Cheers and good luck with your team.
