Legacy Football crest

Hi,
I have been searching for days around the internet looking for a crest creator but to no avail. I have no experience in photoshop and I don't think a m.s. paint version would work out! I stumbled across here and hope that someone can spare some time to help me out. I will give my time back but the only way I can see fit is through the web reviews.

Some background, we are a local adult Saturday team. We have only been created this year and we are in the process of getting kit and an identity sorted. We are a pub team, sponsored by http://www.orchardbar.ie/. Known as Orchard F.C. As we have no real background I don't have a lot to work with. I do prefare the round badges such as http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/2761/Philadelphia_Union/. If someone can help me out that would be great.

1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Orchard F.C.

2) What is your website address (ex: http:/site .com/; Site Name)?
http://www.orchardbar.ie/ This is the sponsors website and I guess the main consideration would be having the colour gold in the crest. The kit that we are purchasing is this http://www.joma-sport.com/en/product/1211.98.005-41?collection=europaII Hopefully this will give an idea with regard to background colours.

3) Description of your website or business:
Adult soccer club.

4) Search the Internet for any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?
Not a fan of the shield type. Round does seem best. The panathinaikos badge is super. I guess round type as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panathinaikos_F.C.

5) Requested size of your logo:
I am not sure what it needs to be. It will be stitched onto the jersey, not printed on.


6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
This is where I struggle. I am not a very creative person. On our sponsors logo the have an o shaped like an apple with a leaf coming from it. Some relevance to that? All the pictures I see are full forests but I guess it needs to be simple.

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
A text and Image.

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Gold as a primary colour is the only preference.

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Pink

10) Describe the target audience for your logo
The target audience is creating an identity for our new club.

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
The main things I see are a relevance to the sponsor, football identity and pride!

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
The logo will be used primarily for print on the shirts but will also be displayed on our facebook page.

13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Hopefully I have given you an idea of what the club needs.

14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
I see on the sponsors website his logo is a specific font. I guess some relevance to that.

Fair play to you, that is just what I need. Just one change if ok, can you put f.c. at the top and Est 2013 at the bottom. May aswell create a bit of history. Appreciate your help!

 

Just had a thought. Our last club had a rams head in the middle of the badge because the old bar had a rams head in the bar and we adopted it as an unofficial mascot. This new sponsors bar has a bulls head in the bar! Without being too much trouble maybe replacing the ball with a bulls head? The bull is black btw. Happy to donate for your time.
