Legacy Football Crest Request

Hi, I'm Moutios, and I've been following the work on this site for quite a time and I've been impressed by some works displayed on this site, but couldn't help because I'm not quite familiar (yet) with the creation of crests except directly from Logo Creation sites.

We are beginning an amateur football team and we'd like to know your ideas about the badge we are going to use.

So, without further ado...

1) What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

The name is Irakleio (or Ηράκλειο or ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΟ), displayed in small or capital letters. Probably (but notnecessarily) more appropriate would be with the greek letters


4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?

5) Requested size of your logo:

It is going to be printed in shirts, so high resolution.


7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

The only text shown would be the name (Irakleio or such) and the image logo, so,Text and Image.

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?

The strip we will use, is identical to the one the English national team uses, as shown on the photo,so red, white and black would be more appropriate


9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?

Definately not pink and purple!


11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

It is just a football team badge, so this is what we'd like to show with that.


12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

It will be used in shirts only.


13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?

A couple of things:

a) We'd like the badge to have an "old time essence", so not something very flashy and modern
b) It would be nice to include (medieval) lions or dragon, embracing a football
c) The font of the name to have some sort of calligraphy if possible
d) A simple one crest, with few items on it

You will recieve your logo without the the watermark once we see that you have been helping around the forum. Until then the logo will not be released to you so please take a look and see where you can help. A good place to start is the Website Review Section.

Actually main colour better not be red and only use it as a secondary.
Since main colour of shirt is red, a similar coloured crest would not be really nice..

You are most appreciated for your effort, it looks really nice, and the gold looks really classy compared with the red! It's probably too much too ask, but could you change the gold with silver, just to take a look at it?

The final decision will be very hard as it seems, 2 (3) very nice emblems, thanks mates!
