Legacy club badges please

Hi, I'm new here. I came across this website by 'accident' when looking for help with a logo for the local kids football club which I help out.

Wondered if anybody can help me clean up these club badges please ?

The quality of badge is poor because they were scanned onto my PC from the front of a lads footy shirt.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your offer to help me. I really do appreciate the help.

It was only after coming across your website and seeing some badges that a few people here had designed that I realised our own club badge needed cleaning up.

The club badge needs to be exactly the same as what it is now but just remade on a PC rather than having to use the scanned badge from the front of a football shirt !

A bit about the club....

The football club is based in a town in the UK called Grimsby. We welcome any child from ages 5 - 16 years to learn and develop their soccer skills. In total the club has about 7 / 8 teams and about 100 players.

The soccer club is a registered charity. We have many adult volunteers within the club who all give their time and skills completely free to help teach and develop soccer skills to these children.

To see the smile on a boy or girls face when they score their first ever goal makes all our hard work worth it.

What do I do to help ?

Well, I run the website for the club. I'm no expert on websites (infact it is the first ever website I have run) Sometimes it takes me hours to do articles that perhaps you could do in minutes. I get the job done eventually though and thats the main thing.

I'd love a new template design for our website but I'm happy to ask for just the badges as I appreciate not to take up too much of your times.

I'd love to give something back to you guys for your help. Perhaps if you have any advertising banners for your website, I would be more than happy to place one on our site for you.

Thanks very much for your badge. It looks good. Appreciate the time you've spent doing it. I'm going to save it onto my desktop and see what Ishkey comes up with.

The tower in the middle is Grimsbys dock tower.

Be really interested to see if you can put the tower into the badge as well.

Can I ask if you used the warped text on photoshop to make the writing on the badge ?

I've spent hours trying to recreate our club badge and never even get as far as you have !!

GNoble.......Thanks very much for the time you spent on our club badge. That is a brilliant effort (Believe me I've spent hours and hours myself trying to re-do our club badge before asking for help with it !)

The size is perfect, every colour is 100% perfect.

Can I ask for a couple of small changes please ?

1) The outside black border of the logo to be the same thickness as the other black ring. (Increase the outside border in thickness just a little please)

2) The brown dock tower in the middle is great. I wondered if you could straighten up the tower so its totally vertical (The tower looks very slightly leaning to one side.)

3) The 'Grimsby Soccer Club' text is great. The positioning of the text is perfect but just wondered if you could make the text just a tiny bit thicker please.

Looking at my original badge again, when I scanned the badge I didnt put it in my scanner 100% horizontally therefore the tower looks like its leaning slightly on the badge. It is supposed to be 100% vertical though - My fault.

Soo glad I came across this site, appreciate the time you've all taken to help me. THANKS everyone.

Thats a great moto for any club. It sets a perfect example to how every child should be in life. If every child followed your rule through their entire life they would all have good rewarding lives.

We teach all the children here that whilst winning is achievable, it isn't everything in life. More important than winning is the enjoyment of the game. Children are always willing to learn and play to the best of their abilities when they're doing something they really enjoy.

The job all you guys do here is great. Its good that you all share your skills with people like myself as well. I hope that everybody appreciates the efforts you guys put in.

I'd like to make a donation to the site so that the good work can continue. Where can I do this please ?
