    Greetings,
I am the Secretary of KUACM, a University Chapter of the ACM. Recently, I have finished our new website, but the logo sticks out like a sore thumb.

Would someone please look at the site: http://kuacm.org and make suggestions on a logo that will compliment the site?

    Thank you for your help.

Your present logo isn't too bad. Perhaps you need to redisign the site to match in better with the logo?
Anyways, I'm sure some of our clever graphics people here can put something together for you.

    Just to clarify...
Do you mean the diamond shaped logo on the right or the top left corner one?

    Getting ahead of myself here.
I made up this globe thing from a tutorial ages ago and just added your initials.
    What do you think?

The logo is the one in the top left corner.
My original thought was to have the initials KU. If you look closely, you can see the K is sideways, sitting on to of the U. Just a thouht at the time.

The large ACM Diamond is a registered trademark of acm.org. We are a Charter Chapter, and have permission to use the logo.

I really do like the Globe one up top, but our initials are: KUACM.

Is there a way you can include those initials, and also add the ACM logo in the "arrow" portion of the globe?

The colors are soft, and looks like it will compliment the site.

Thank you so much. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

To give a little more insight, our school is totally online. So, the globe fits. If you can implant the ACM diamond in the arrow portion of the globe, maybe it could be positioned in a way to be a better fit? Like to point of the diamond lined up with the point of the arrow?

I wish I could do stuff like that. Great work!

    Nope, I don't see that.
I'll look into your ideas about adding an arrow.

    Hi Covert,
That logo really stands out. How do you really do it?
How can you implement a silver color with blue highlights.
I am also a member there and tried to get the original but is too small and need it to full my desktop screen that supports 1024x768. I have PhotoImpact X3 and a novice with it.

    Making this as 1024x768 : kuLogo.png
    Thanks
    Covert

I've made a wallpaper from it for you. (attached zip)

The original 'arrow encircling a globe' idea came from an online photoshop tutorial I followed. I've just spent a couple of hours looking for the site but cannot locate it.

If anyone else finds it, please let me know.
