Hello, all you gifted artists out there. I am in need of a logo, and would really like 2 if I can help it...

The first is for my personal domain, familypages.net. For this logo, I envision something like a "stick figure" family (mom, dad, 2 kids, optional pet(s)) with "FamilyPages.net" somewhere nearby. However, I am COMPLETELY open to just about anything for this one.

The second is for a business I have had floating around in my head for a while now. I am calling it "TechCastle", the domain (at least for the short term) would be techcastle.familypages.net, and the slogan I have is "Where The Customers Are Royalty". It is a computer services business (home based stuff, and if I am lucky delve into small business and school projects) for things like PC installation/upgrade/repair, web design (gotta love free template sights, like you lovely folks operate), small network design and install, training, etc. The 3 ideas I have had for this are:

1.) A castle image with "TechCastle" under it, then the slogan under that
2.) A medieval looking sword, point down, with "Tech" on the left and "Castle" on the right, and the slogan under that
3.) A heraldry shield/blazon for TechCastle, with the business name and slogan on the logo as well

I am, however, completely open to anything for this logo as well (at least to examine and ask questions about). If at all possible, I would like to have this logo suitable for both online and print (business cards, letterhead, account statements, etc).

For both logos, as far as color pallette, I am really partial to the blue family. This would range from the blue-green shades, through blue, and extending all the way to purples. I am certainly not opposed to other colors, however, and would gladly examine any work on this logo that comes my way.

If someone would be willing to work with me on this, that would be outstanding. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post here or PM me and I will VERY gladly answer. Thanks in advance for your consideration!

I will try to help you out, I don't know how long it will take me though as I have a couple of other requests that I am working on...but I know it will not take more than a couple of days to get to you. I will post them here once they are finished and we can go from there.

    :)

    lmfrench, thank you!

Thank you very much, lmfrench (Lisa, if I may). I certainly appreciate the offer of assistance! That is cool about the delay, due to my current hosting difficulties and need of a redesign anyways! I really enjoy web programming, but unfortunately my personal life seems always seems to be a little too hectic to put in as much time as I would like to put in on my site. :) Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing your work!

Yes, you can call me Lisa, and it's no problem, I should have a few moments this afternoon to get to work on it. I understand about your personal life getting in the way, I am a stay-at-home mom with 2 kids...one 5 and one 3. So I am ALWAYS busy. I can't believe how much running around is involved in staying home...lol. Anyhow, I will have some time this afternoon because my mom is taking the kids to the park! I will get as much done as I possibly can...lol :)

Hey I had some time this afternoon and I have started 3 different logo's for the 'myfamily.net' page but this one really shaped up and I thought I would post it here for you. Let me know what you think. :)[IMG]

    Very Cute!

Hey Lisa! Thank you SO VERY much for the logo!!! It looks awesome, and I look very forward to seeing your other ideas as well as this one! I really like the mix of colors in the logo, allowing a LOT of flexibility in the colors for the template. Awesome! :)

One note - the domain is "familypages.net", not "myfamily.net". :D Thanks again, Lisa, you rock!!!

Hi, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but I finally was able to have my friend come by and help with the adding of my photoshop to his laptop. His laptop was rather full and he needed to remove some programs to get the Photoshop to fit...anyway, I know that you liked the style of the one previously, however, I no longer have access to that PSD so I redid it, using a little variation and I fixed the name...let me know what you think of this one. :)[IMG]

    Thank You!!

Lisa, you rock! No worries on the delay, I understand computer issues better than most! :D That logo looks fantastic, and I really like it. I showed my wife, and she likes it too. She wanted to request something not "stick figure" oriented when you get a chance. She says we don't have any kids yet, so maybe our logo should not show kids in it. Maybe she's right? I dunno... like I said in the original post, I am open to about anything. I made 2 REALLY feeble attempts at this once, but since I am not an artist I don't think they came out too well. As soon as I track them down, I will post them on here so everyone can have a good laugh! Thanks again, Lisa! You are the best!!!

    Fantastic!!!

Hey Lisa, those are awesome! I REALLY like the third one - it appeals to me quite a bit. I was wondering if we could do something for it that would make it work on a business card? It may lose something to be shrunken so small, I would think. That will work great for my page, letterhead, etc. though. MANY thanks!!

Sure no problem...I will work up a business card one for you probably tomorrow. I have some errands to run today and my son has to go to the doctor and get shots so afterwards we will take him out to do something fun. :)

    TechCastle - Business Card Logo

Howdy Lisa, any progress to report on the business card version of the TechCastle logo? I am about to start putting the page together and moving forward with my little deal here, and I would like that available so I can hand out some business cards. Thanks Lisa, you are the best! :D

Ok, here are the previews (these are much smaller than what you need for the printing store you choose to go through...the zip file contains the actual size your printing press will need, I included the PSD file incase you want to reposition the information or change the text size/color/font and please note that for the printing process you will need to keep the color in CMYK and to view online you will need the color to be RGB .)
