I noticed in #4 above you posted
"Using the Norwich FC badge as a basis, http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...SbT_C1BNKi8gPW86CQDw&ved=0CF4Q9QEwBA&dur=4756

You might want to re-read Graphic Requests MUST READ - The DONT'S #1

    RCFC
your sample has the complete name

    8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?

you show green as the prominent color

    Thanks for the reply;
I had a look round the forums so will be helping where I can

With regard to the post above

I don't mind if we have RCFC or Royale Cippenham FC or Royale Cippenham Football Club

Yes Green is the prominent colour as it fits better on the website

I understand what you mean about the Norwich Badge; was just trying to show an example. The requirement is similar; a green shield with black outline. We want a royal or regal theme hence the lion or kings head, this would be yellow and any writing would also need to be yellow

We may, one day use the badge on the kit but initially it is just for the website, twitter and facebook

    thanks

    Paul

That helps to explain things a little better.
Guess I will go back to the drawing board as this was a idea based on your first post.

Thanks iskkey, will but these to a vote although my favourite is the middle one of the three in the post above

    thanks for all your efforts

Hi Ishkey; The first one of the three above is proving very popular although should we decide to put it on the kit, it doesn't stand out on a yellow kit.

One suggestion would be to swap the greens and yellows but then the effect of the ribbon would be lost. Could you swap the colours so the main colour is green and move the ribbon down to underneath the badge?

    thanks in advance

"One suggestion would be to swap the greens and yellows "
that would be the 3rd one
It really wouldn't get lost on either color.

"move the ribbon down to underneath the badge"
if I move it, then there will be a big empty space from the bottom from the lion down and you will loose the focal point
if I stretch the lion or move it over and down the badge will look way off center.

    Ishkey, yes you are right

Thanks for the feedback; how do I get a copy without the watermarks, happy to make a donation

Just one additional question, what font did you use in the ribbon?

  18. ishkey

ishkey Moderator, Logos, Sports Crests Staff Member Verified Member

    The font is Clarendon
Before we finalize this, since you have a concern about standing out I made a second one for you to compare to the first and on both I increased the ribbon outline thickness.

I'll zip up the two files you will need - 1 web, 1 printer and post them let me know when you have downloaded and unzipped them.
maybe you could add a link on your site like " custom sports logos - www.ishkey.com"
and please wait until say Wednesday to make a donation as I just changed my paypal account (their grace period)
    Be right back
