Ready My own template - Please tell how good it is

    I have self designed a template (pretty simple though).
    In fact I was searching for one simple which I shortlisted from here and elsewhere but wasn't the simplest one to use in terms of functionality.

    I would like you all to take a look at and suggest me how I can better this. Please keep in mind that I am a novice to designing and coding, but I am not averse to learning simple new tricks.
