CSS moving the menu from heater to side bar

Hello all

I found this template which will work perfectly on my website but I need to move the menu from header to side bar. However, when I place the code in side bar, the menu appears but does not have the box around it. This template uses css which I am new to and I do not know, or at least not enough to edit it so that it appears where I want it to appear and the way I want it to apear. I wonder if anybody could help me with this issue. Thanks to everybody who find time to respond to this post, I appretiate it a lot.
