Web Design I dont get it...

    Hows it going all.
    Im new here and new to web design in general.

    Basicaly, what ive done so far is "designed" what I'd like my site to look like in Photoshop. Now that I have a lifeless PSD file, is there anyway to make it a usable website? Can I somehow make flat text into working/clickable buttons? Im working on getting Dreamweaver, is that the solution?

    Also, what are slices?
