Web Design Edit template using DreamweaverMX (6) and Fireworks 4

Hey Just Joined the forum, I have downloaded template 18 a few weeks ago.

I have been editing this template, but just can't seem to get the slices right. Every time I edit it and export it to dreamweaver, I can't seem to edit the text areas from Fireworks without affecting the layout. I have used some examples from the web, but they don't seem to work when it comes to this particular template, or maybe I am just not.

But anyway I don't want to edit the complete site in dreamweaver, because the site is for my wife and I know she could not use dreamweaver/fireworks to edit the content if need be.

I would like to just use the layout and be able to edit the image areas and text areas using any editor.

Is that possible?
