Hi Andrew

The first one is great - clear and colourful with a 'friendly' appearance. The second one appears a little on the dark side. Perhaps a splash more colour like the daHOSTer logo on your site. Of course this is only my view and as I'm fairly new here I'm not sure of the protocol - just thought I could offer my opinion!!

I personally liked the design of http://dahoster.org/. Yes, it’s a little bit dark but still very good one.
Though, I couldn’t enter Forum page for some reasons and I read “Not found” when I try to enter Contact page.

 

Not done with it yet.

I agree with Andrew that the first ones seems more friendly. A like the darker them thought to, I believe that it’s more business looking and the first one looks more like a social networking site. Probably because of the little icons I suppose. I like both schemes, but they are too very different schemes. I also find it interesting that the darker themes header, the blue cluster picture, starts with a square edge and ends with radius corners. I like that characteristic. I like to see more of that through out. Just my opinion anyway.

The first is an image host, so I might it bright (no clue why).
and the second has a bunch of services (more coming).
and I made it dark.
There was really no reason for it, except for that I wanted it that way.

I like both designs. The first one http://img.dahoster.org/ looks neat and tidy. Bit I really don't like the fact that you are enforcing users to register first without giving an opportunity to get to know more about your website and the services you provide. Personally I leave such pages as fast as I come in.

Speaking about the second one http://dahoster.org/, I may say that you did a great job! The site design looks elegant and powerful.

Why don’t you add a text explaining what this site is about. I see that I can create an account at this site but I'm not sure why do I need it for. “*Personal directory. *1gb of storage. *5gb bandwidth per month.” Don’t sound too self explaining for me.
http://dahoster.org/ . The designs is great! Everything is easy to find and it’s an example of a good organized site as for me!

 

I liked the second one. The design is nice, the navigation is simple.
