Nice effect CP - I really like that.
No not Xara this time though it is a hell of a lot faster and easier than AI and no menu after sub-menu to plow through like AI.
What takes me days with AI takes only hours in Xara.

pen tool (which I hate in AI)
3D Revolve Effect
3D Revolve Options window Map Art
individual hand drawn letters base on the font I can't remember (trying to improve my pen skills)
a lot trial an error
Inspired by this tutorial - Vector 3D Christmas Bells as I was interested in the Map Art in AI that they used. It really is a cool tool for those special effects. Sorta like overlaying a bitmap and not having to manually transform to create perspective.

I would post up the AI file but my main pc has been crashing and burning and the files from that time didn't make up to the server. I even lost a template I have been working on for over 3 weeks. (that hurt)
My wife asked If I would like a new toy or pc for Christmas. I asked "What was the difference?"
